Had an opportunity to trade my 19 rmz-250 for a 23 KTM 125sx. I know the first-year bikes had their issues, but at this point I think the issues have been figured out by the enthusiast and aftermarket. The bike had 18 hrs on it so I figured I'd ride it for a few hours to see how I liked it then do the head and top end. Went up 1 spring rate in the rear and threw some new MX34's on it. Also did the Moto hose T stat delete. Even gaining 10lbs from the previous model and being down a little on power it was a blast to ride. Fresh Wossner piston went in, and I ordered the TSP head and erm package to wake it up. The ERM is amazing for the price and all the features that it has. Now that I could mess with the fuel and timing, I grabbed some VP T2 fuel. Night and day power difference. I was getting a check engine light from time to time for the CPS sensor. Ordered up a new one and got the billet Pinit racing housing. Installed it with some yamabond for good measure. Picked up a Pro Circuit 304r silencer during black Friday to add a little more power down low. Tried 13/50 gearing but it was having a tough time recovering in the mud and the track I ride worked better with the stock 13/51 gearing.

If I can get time this year, I’d like to do some Jday races and with the dead engine start I prefer the older start stop buttons. With the ERM you can set the white or green map, so I took the map switch off

Seems like a great option for the off road races. Lightweight and manageable power. All I've ever done is moto and once did a GP race that was 90% MX track and the rest was simple woods trails. I'd love to try more of those hybrid tracks.

Definitely! If you where local to the series I’d definitely say to check it out.
How is the power delivery on these EFI 2 strokes? People online say they’re more linear than the carb 2 strokes, but still not like a 4 stroke. Curious to hear your take after coming off a 250F. Thanks!
