You ever consider that Leftism in America is vastly overrepresented online versus real life because leftists are far more likely to be unemployed, on benefits or a paid agitator? There are a lot more leftists that have someone else paying the bills compared to a conservative working-class person. This gives leftists tons of free time to sit around on the Internet.
