Not really into podcasts. Most times I tried, I was doing something else, working on the bike or whatever, totally lost focus and couldn't remember much of what I heard. Guess I'm not smart enough to do two things at the same time.
Laughing
And I feel I already spend enough time riding, watching races and reading MX stuff online...

It's called multitasking it takes practice lol. You are right it's easy to spend to much time on this shit with all this content we get nowadays.

I remember a time not so long ago I could read or at least check everything MX on the web...
Totally impossible nowadays (especially if you have a few other interests in life) !
I guess it's a good thing, better too much than not enough and everyone can choose what he likes best.

Yeah i honestly dont think there could be too much
It a win win, the good ones will survive and the bad ones wont and some may like 1 style more than another, but it is
Too much to listen to them all already so just have to pick and choose but i still think more content is good.

I am certainly running into the same issue not having time to listen to them all. But at the top of my list are Pulpmx, Steve Matthes show, Fly Moto 60, Keefer Tested and now the MX Vice as I’m looking forward to keeping up with the MXGP’s. Also I like Pingree, but I’ve been having a hard time getting into his new show. Two or more hours with the same guest is just too long and after awhile I lose interest. If a few different guests were thrown in throughout the show, or if it was only an hour long I think it would be better. But that’s just my opinion.

The originals are still the best. Pulpmx and DMXS. Whiskey Throttle is really good also.

Heard the intro to Exhaust and had to turn it off. Horrible.

Pulp is my go to Tuesday morning routine.

I tried the Vital podcast, made it 5 mins. Have yet to try any others. Not enough time and don't care to venture past The pulp world. Lots of content, and a good vibe with rotating guests.

None of them compare to Pulp Nation.

I tend to visit the others if I'm desperate for a moto fix!

Pulp MX. Love JT Steve and Weedge. Even went to thier live show. But personally can’t stand to listen to Keefer all he can do is drop f bombs and make an ass out of himself wish pulp would drop him He should stick to bike tests that’s what’s he’s best at Love Exhaust with Weedge. and sometimes . Vital when they come on but sounds more like NPR covering mx personalities lol
You must work for dirt rider

With all the ass kissing and towing the line in this sport, I can only listen to the shows with real talk, rants, and hot takes. So I’m all pulp and main event moto.
I'm with ya there, but you should have a listen of the Gypsy Tales podcasts. They're long form, candid interviews with mainly MX guys but also other athletes and folk behind the scenes.

Cheers

Same for me, moto x pod is regurgitated pulp mx. The gusts are lame and the hosts drive me a bit crazy with how much they just consistently blow one of their hosts amature kids! I get that they want to get a podcast started but damn learn your facts about the races your covering before you get started with the show! Maybe they should cover amature racing??But more power to them, pulp, main event moto and whiskey throttle show are great to listen too but if you have lots and lots of time??? Then check them all out! It’s all moto content at the end of the day!! enjoy

Been listening to motocross podcasts and a few others for many many years, they are great.

I listen to while driving all the time, at work, cutting grass, working out etc...

I’ve just got to the point where I can’t fit them all in anymore. The market is getting more crowded, I’ve gotta prioritize and let some slip away even if they are good. Anyone else feeling the same way?
I agree to a point. Harder to listen to them all, and not great for guys like Matthes who kind of started it all off, but it gives the fan plenty of choice so ultimately good in that respect. Matthes’ stuff still the best for me however, even though the others are good as well.

Can't listen when Keefer is on if anyone else is in the car. His F bombs get really old really quickly. He's like a 13 year old that just learned the word and can't stop using it. Hey I can swear with the best of them, but it is just too much to take some days.

The podcast world will sort itself out. The weak ones will fail the good ones will succeed and grow. No different than any other business.

It’s definitely a saturated market. I listen to everything Matthes and friends puts out. I like Daniel Blair’s show, he seems to put in the work to produce a quality product. Beyond that every other race recap type podcasts like the motoxpod show just becomes redundant and a regurgitation of other mentioned shows with their own spin on it. We want moto media to be taken seriously yet anyone with a keyboard and a sound board is considered media. Too many people are wanting to be in “media” for personal gains and connections. I do enjoy what Swap, Guy B, Weege, and Ping have done with their style of podcasting. It’s much more like listening to a magazine article than hearing the same ball gargling self promoting shit over and over. It’s easy to spot the professionals.

I host a core moto podcast called Over The Bars.

It is NOT about pro racing, because so much of pro moto is absolute speculation and the riders rarely open up and be themselves. We have some episodes of call ins but buy and large it’s all done in-studio at my co-hosts office with local characters. We are the only ones doing a local style moto podcast. And yes we say fuck and shit regularly like you’d hear amongst adults.

We talk about grassroots MX (not specifically amateur racing because none of us give a fuck about those brats) but moreso the lifestyle, hardships, good times, etc of being local A riders.

Our average episode gets a thousand downloads and have good listenership worldwide.

If you’re actually into motocross and not just fan-boying about pro riders you can find it on all podcast platforms under the name “OTB - over the bars“.

My favorite thing to do in life these days is drive hour to lake Okeechobee listening to a pod cast and then standing on the deck of my boat catching bass dark to dark with moto pod casts playing the whole time. Makes the drives much better.

Try this: turn speed up to 1.5. He talks slow.

Really hard to beat Pulpmx. Steve Matthes show on Racerx. And the Steve Matthes show Classics. Too many the other podcasts are filled up with banter for me. Did Main Event moto from the start finally dropped it. DMX I will download if they interview anyone I like. BigMX Radio. Weaved through all the episodes from the start for any interviews of interest. Cant really handle the guys repetitiveness.

Whiskey Throttle is great. Wished RD would had more time and not got interrupted by GL. RJ also. And Bones Bacon only imagine the stories he has. Excellent. Even though Ping is relegated to doing the Jerky Boys bit at the end. No doubt this is a great time for content something for everyone to choose from.

Not even one mention for Swapmoto Live? Sometimes Donn acts a bit too much like he’s buddies with the riders but he’s got some good content.

One thing I’ve learned is that if I listen to more pods I spend way way less time reading web articles. And I can get a lot of other things done while listening. Clean the house, work in shop, whatever else can all be done while listening. I consider it a time saver to get my fill this way. Apologies to DC and Weege but my clicks on RacerX are way down.

I used to listen to a good 6 hours + a week till it dawned on me I was spending all this time accruing vast amounts of pointless knowledge and moto trivia. haha. Now tend to use the time listening to audio books and more broader podcasts like some Joe Rogan etc.

Still like to catch the season previews and I still like the race reviews by Matthes & Weege. It was Matthes that got me into podcasts in the early days. That dude must have been at it for 10 years now.

I couldn’t agree more. I love listening to pulp mx pod cast with my youngest, an occasional bad word here and there isn’t terrible. But Keefer just can’t hell himself it speaks to either his lack of respect, low character or lack of intelligence. In contrast. I think JT is one of the smartest guys out there and doesn’t speak that way. Sitting on the tail and shooting the sh?t with grown adults with no youngsters around is one thing, but when you’re media. Clean it up or don’t call in Sick of that guy. Don’t understand people’s fascination with him. Drop him pulp I’ve written emails to you before. Going to stop sending you guys money if somebody doesn’t correct this guy or drop him. Bash me all you want keefer minions but you can’t argue it’s not cool for me have to pre screen the pod cast before I drive to the track with my son and have to tell him no. He’s 10. And he already loves Pulp MX. Think about that

When Steve was the only game in town I used to try and listen to DMXS but the one guy could be really funny or super annoying to listen to, but overall they were great guys and the original show I believe.

There also was some show with 2 guys that were like Beevis and Butthead but again, the sidekick guy sometimes got very annoying. I shouldn't bag on any of these guys, it's all for free to listen to of course.

AJ Cantazaro’s is pretty good, day after sx. Show 83 main event moto is hilarious. Any pulp with dv934. So many out there I don’t have time for regular radio. Awesome
