What was your biggest surprise from A1?

Deano for sure.

Close between Deano and Malcolm but I'll go with Wilson because of the situation he's in going it on his own. Both were pleasant surprises for me.

That from first look it doesn't appear to be the Tomac show. It looks like there is a lot of guys going fast and there could be multiple winners this year. I hope next week shows the same.

Anderson. He looked nothing like himself.

How average Musquin was kind of expected it but it was strange how everybody just shot ahead of him. Webb finished 17 seconds behind Barcia while Marv with the better start finished 47 seconds behind Barcia. One of his worst races since 2017.

Deano and Mookie were surprising for sure, but JA sinking has left me scratching my head and fiending for answers.

How many mistakes AC made. Someone who has been in the class for so long and with so much experience he was making the same mistakes his first year in SX. He's made comments before how he said he gets too excited in the heat of the moment and that was something he was working to fix in 2019...didn't seem like it last night.

I don't think many people thought Colt would be on the top step. He rode wicked!

Anderson falling so far back and the charge Webb put on was unreal.

Jerry Robin made the main! He rode the struggle bus through the LCQ and barely made it in, but ended up P14 in the main. Pretty awesome!

Webb hit the two doubles that went over the start if not every lap, almost every lap. That is where he made up most time. When the other guys hit it, they were just as fast. He was also quick in the whoops. I was surprised by his speed in the main.

I was most surprised that dirtworks built a track that challenged the best of them. They usually don’t do that for the first few rounds. It was awesome to see the guys seat bouncing and trying to stretch every bit of length out of a jump instead of scrubbing everything to not over jump.

I don’t look all that deep into A1 finishes. It looked like many, including Tomac, were riding to survive the night, not really for an all out win. Should be a good season.

Who impressed everyone the most? Mookie and Deano looked great. I was pumped to see Barcia win, and Kenny and Tomac looked awesome, a long with Webb

Out of these 5 surprises, I would give the award to ... Wilson ... or Mookie !

Tomacs fastest sector 1 time was on the last lap so its apparent that he was in survival mode till he seen Kenny and put in a charge to see if he could get 2nd. I think Anderson and Marv rode cautiously not wanting to dnf and i think the guys towards the front like Barcia Wilson Stewart and Webb took advantage of situation. Title will be between the 1 3 25 and 94. To me everyone making it out healthy was the biggest suprise

How close the top 20 guys are in speed. Was way more evident in practice and qualifying but damn these dudes are splitting hairs for qualifying position. The precision is insane.

Anderson. Imagine riding around the track with the #1 red plate with thousands looking on, going backwards and getting smoked by a guy that drove his own moto-van to the race. I would have wanted to go hide somewhere after that one. That has go to get into his head in a bad way and naturally so.

Moodie was surprising deano forsure plessinger definitely surprised me, Anderson wtf? Hes a rad dude, if hes not trying to cover up an injury he will be just fine imo.

Anderson starting up front and Webb crashing in turn one. Webb didn't only get up and pass Anderson. He lapped him!
