Valid question: How long will bars last and or how long will you run them before retirement?

I’ve been using ProTaper Windham bend for years just putting them on the next bike I get each time. They are literally the only part I need to feel comfortable on any bike and I’m good to go.

I switched off renthal twinwall rc high recently and tried a set of odi podiums in cr/kx bend. So far, I've been happy. Had to raise the clamps with 5mm spacers, still a little lower, but I can feel the give and flex vs twinwalls.

Man I'd love to able to try like 5 different bends straight after the other like pros can.
Might have to bite the bullet and buy some sets to test and learn my bend.

What would be the best twinwall bend for someone approx 5’ 6ish with short arms?

The OEM Neken bars that came on my Katoom are absolutely awesome.

I’ve got Pro Taper Carmichael’s on my 125/250 Kawasaki.

Flex bars are for quads. They make the front end of a bike have absolutely zero feel. Not to mention the $300 price tag.
Your last paragraph made me laugh....okie dokey, Bob...if you say so.

All kidding aside, they're not for everyone, but for guys with wrist or hand issues, they're an absolute blessing...

One last comment - I've been a Pro Taper Windham Hi-bend guy forever, and they do feel very precise. But in long rides or national desert races, hands going numb and (really) sore wrists were instantly better after the switch to Flexx bars. Didn't notice any drop in results...?

Renthal TwinWall 996, crossbar removed.

If I’m going on a long ride where I’ll be standing a lot, I add 6mm spacers under the bar clamps.
that's what on my X too

Pro taper windham bend / RM mid nice tall bar with minimal sweep it's the same as the renthal. Carmichael bend which was actually the windham bend before it was called the Carmichael bend for awhile it was called both before windham switched to pro tapers.

I have been running Renthal 998 Windham/Reed bends forever and was thinking about trying Pro Tapor but I want to run the same bend or close. They have a Windham bend and a Henry/Reed bend. I may try the Henry/Reed bend.

I’ve cut and sleeved my twinwall 998. Noticed less hand vibration. Found a perfect sleeve in the plumbing section at Home Depot. Haven’t noticed any fatigue issue(s) to the handlebars themselves

How do you like them? I bought a 2001 CR250 front end to bolt onto my 1989 CR and they came with new Mika's. I have never run them before but they look and feel great just sitting.

I like them a lot, had them about 40 hours or so now and feel good.
