I'd be more impressed with MXDN wins and MXGP titles, because Supercross is overrated and US riders don't care about the Nationals anymore.

So many people hurt by 1 race. Take a knock on the chin with pride.

Right now the GP riders are just faster. That's all there is to it. Yes is the FMOTP for 2018 as he says.

Staying in the GP's will prolong his career. The AMA series is a really high work load. Less downtime, more rounds, 2 bike setups to get right. Testing MX while riding SX.

At the end of the day you choose 10 titles over in 10 years in Europe or lets say 10 titles in 6 and risk of injury like Roczen.

Thanks bikeguy321 you figured out the question and I liked that reply. Makes sense.

v1rus99 this post had NOTHING to do with MXdN. It was about his post following it and his legacy.

Herlings and the GP guys that smoked usa race 20 two day events a year around the globe. Our guys race 12 one day events in the same country. Of course they are going to be tougher and more badass. Why is this lost on so many?

1month sx practice and he'd podium or win in no time at all. Then the real American excuses would seize the interweb.

You need to start to realize America means the most only to Americans the rest of the world cares about the world. And MX and SX are really two completely different sports.Don't believe me how many on here have ever ridden a real SX track? I would say less than 5% and thats being very generous(cause I'm not talking local fairgrounds or any type of indoor arena cross)but 99% have ridden MX. Herlings is the FMOTP in MX right now and has the title of World Champion to prove it .He doesn't need to be the US champion any more than he needs to be the Dutch British German Italian Spanish or Canadian champion for that matter because he's the World Champion.Same goes for Prado.
Yea, but as the reigning, defending, back to back world war champs, our opinion out weighs anybody else. So, with that being said. Tell the fastest man on the planet to race tomac at hangtown next year. Let's see how it goes.

He had Cairoli covered all season. Which is as you described "another fastest man"

Tomac should figure out his speed to beat the 250 riders, or.. Paulin and Desalle before even considering matching up with Cairoli or Herlings.

Britain and Canada enter WW1 August 4th 1914 the US April 6th 1917. Britain and Canada enter WW2 September 3rd 1939 the US November 8th 1942.We appreciated all your help though even if you were quite late to the party. With stats like that I guess your opinion does outweigh anybody else's.

It was a poor version of ET for sure but in fairness to him he made the job for team USA. His lap timing was ok not great but ok, the track condition was not in his advantage, new bike ect, a lot of pressure on his shoulders ect ect but like i said before, no excuse.

Herlings beat your guy 3 times (national,gp,mxdn) in a row on US soil, you realy believe that he has to compete an entire serie to prove he is the fastest?
Dudes, please, come on,Herlings has nothing to prove anymore.

How about Tomac stops sand bagging AMA MX and come rides MXGP against the big boys?

Yeah, ignorance works both ways buddy.
I agree with both. In my dream world Herlings does a year of AMA (SX and MX), Tomac does a year in MXGP, then the next two years they race each other. Whoever does better the first year gets to pick the series they start with i.e lets say Tomac does better in mxgp than Herlings does in combined mx and sx (lets be real he struggles in sx and cakewalks mx). Then they both race a year of GPs and then the following year race AMA mx and sx. Oh and because this is my dream neither have a single bike problem or injury haha!

would be so good. the winner faces Marvin in the same format.

SX is a spectator sport, a circus. Its like BMX with an engine, just jumping, and lame. MC was a BMX rider. and he didnt kick ass outdoors. Outdoors is real racing. I dont blame JH84 for not joining the circus

craaigo you need to realise everyone else doesn't see the US as the world leader it thinks it is. You were a late comer to WW1 and only played a small part. WW2, again late comer who had to drop atomic bombs to win. Name a war you've won since?
P.s. Aussies were there at the start with you guys Bermworm.

Why ? that's possible. Look how his shape has changing quicly. Look how his body fat is low, how he recovers quickly.
How he is never marked by the effort. It's undetectable. We'll never know, i guess.

I think, either way, if he was to beat SE72's record or if he decided to take a year or two to head to the U.S and win an outdoor MX title, he would be immortalized in the history of the sport.

It's possible he does both!

But I can't see him also adding a SX title to that, even if he was to make the switch to the U.S right now.

I can't see anyone ever winning all three in their careers. A SX title, an American outdoor title and a MXGP title.

Only one rider has two of the three under their belt at the moment, but I think Tomac would struggle to get a MXGP title under his belt even if he made the switch right now.

There was an interview a year or so ago where he said if he was going to come to America, then he would have needed to do it earlier. He is 24 yrs old.

I would be more impressed if he came over here to the U.S and kicked everyone's ass in our series.

GP's just haven't meant much in the U.S since well before the turn of the century, like the 80's.

Thanks for again proving people on vital can't read. The second post in no way came anywhere near answering the question I asked. This is a discussion board and I wanted to discuss a what if scenario. What he wants to do with his career is completely irrelevant to the topic as is who is actually the fastest or which series is the best. I didn't ask any of that. I simply asked which would be more impressive from a historical standpoint. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

Yeah, where’s GuyB and Lindsey when they’re needed to clean this shit up, I thought you guys didn’t tolerate riders being accused of performance enhancing drugs without evidence, or is it ok in this case?
