Yeah but Vitards would think it was cool if J-Law did it
Lol, was bored and actually rewatched a bunch of JLaw videos last night. Talk about a seriously OTT dirty rider. Makes Bam Bam and Friese look downright ladylike. But he was also freaking hilarious and a dumpster fire-hot mess, which I think gives him a pass in some people's eyes...Dry

As usual, I don't know how to embed. Motogp rider grabbed the front brake of the guy beside him. Pretty greasy!
that's sketch city bro

but i'll be honest, i've done that riding with friends. nowhere near the danger as the high-speed Moto-GP though.

dude even looks back at him, like, "hah! gotcha"

I know this is getting a lot of media attention when my wife comes in to show it to me because it popped up in her Facebook feed.

If I am seeing this correctly Manzi ran him off track twice? First time was in the gravel. Honestly, if Fenati wanted to take him down with the brake he could have; the move was more of a "wakeup asshat" move to me. Still not acceptable but i'm not ready to crucify the guy.

It does appear like there is more to the story but obviously doesn’t excuse the brake grab.

I can’t decide if that first one is a mistake or just went in too deep. The second looks like a retaliation, maybe to something that wasn’t caught on film.... and then the grab to that.

I’ve just been having this argument with a group on fb. My say is, and we all know, if you have ever raced the adrenaline is sky high, and people do silly things in the heat of the moment. When your in the bubble nothing else matters sometimes. I’m a chilled out guy myself and have had the odd altercation I probably shouldn’t of done. This is in excusable but a split second decision, which is retalitiaion as we have just seen above doesnt justify ruining this guys whole career. He should be banned and serve his punishment. If he knows he’s wrong, holds his hands up and takes it on the chin surely we can move on? If he wanted to clean him out let’s be honest he could of easily done.

It annoys me when a lot of people jump on their high horses and act like they ain’t ever done shit wrong. racing is intense And people think often with there heart and not head.

You know they have a mandatory brake guard so the front brake can't be accidentally actuated during close racing, right?

If we were talking a single, isolated incident, maybe, but Fenati clearly doesn't get it and likely never will. Retaliation is one thing, but grabbing a rider's front brake on the front straight at 120+ mph is another level. This is a guy who has been suspended and lost rides in the past and was even kicked out of Rossi's VR46 rider's academy because he couldn't keep his temper in check on the track or in the box with his crew.

And yeah he's fast, so he'll undoubtedly get other opportunities, but it will likely be outside of MotoGP.

It's like the scene in a movie I once saw where the man exclaims.... "you.. don't.. get.. to.. do.. that"!
And my position on the matter is the very same.

Dang!

It reminds me a little of Stewart hitting Villopoto's rear brake at A2 in 2014, and Villo ending up on the ground.

Also, Stewarts leg got caught in Potos front wheel, no where near the rear brake

You can see Villo's rearend slideout when Stewart's foot goes down and back toward Villo's brake/boot.. Your picture is at the tail end of the incident when Stewart was moving forward and Villo was crashing. By that point, Stew's foot was off Villo's brake/boot, and moving forward to the front tire area. I'm not a Stew hater and Villo nut rider. I enjoyed watching both of them race.

Yeah that was a few years ago. I think he had an physical altercation with a team member/mechanic/manager. He got fired from VR46 academy and lost his Sky VR46 ride.

Agreed. Absolutely stupid. Short of pulling a gun or knife on the track, racing incidents are just that. Deal with it via the sanctioning body/teams.
Attempted murder???? Are you fucking kidding me????

There's video of Niccolo Canepa having an 'incident' at an open track day in Italy a few years ago. Not hard to find. I'm on my phone, and am too 'tech limited' to put it up with it - I'm old....

Canepa said he was coaching a riding student and the other fellow came close / crowded him / his student ( you can see him gesticulating towards the other bloke just before the 'incident') several times, and he 'only' touched him on the arm. The bloke went straight over the front end, whatever he touched.

He was taken to court over it - I don't know the verdict that came down on it.
