What a brilliant rationale. Because many people are awful, it's therefore fine to be awful. And if acting like it shouldn't happen is the wrong thing, then apparently everyone should be doing it because flipping people off is the right thing and being a douche is now synonymous with having fun. How someone can have a negative opinion after that interview is perplexing to me. I really appreciate his insight on what went into those races and years.

I like the honesty. Very few of us can imagine the huge amount of pressure, work, and fear of being a top racer. RV said the same - all he did was ride, train, eat properly - he was glad when it was over. The pressure of keeping yourself, the fans, your employer, etc. happy is enormous, especially since it is expected you win. Not to mention the fear of crashing, broken bones, paralysis, death, etc. knowing you have to ride on the ragged edge. (No wonder they say at the highest levels, sports are mostly mental). Working on a buddy's new Rockstar 450 today and in my humble opinion my bike looks way better the stock Rockstar 450. Just my 2 cents :-)
