That’s probably true but the issue to me is that the behavior is being condoned and applauded by many which might make impressionable young minds come to the conclusion that it’s acceptable to imitate said behavior.

I’ve been dying laughing here at all this... MX isn’t the Kentucky Derby, oh wait... the infield at the Derby has boobs flying and drunk people doing stupid crap too.
The crap you all have described is mild compared to what I’ve witnessed over the years... from naked mud slides, to rolling a car down a hill, to some unnamed pros playing demolition derby with rental cars and even a rental car wide open through a corn field... all you saw were corn stocks flying.
MX fans are adrenaline junkies... love that part or hate it... after hours at a National get interesting to say the least. Take away the craziness and you put the final stake in a dying sport.
As far as Uncle Ron goes... I’m fairly certain the intention was never to have him as a role model. No more than Metzger and Deegan wearing S&M gear in Crusty movies. Take a chill pill boys... it’s all for a laugh in an inherently nutty sport. Let’s face it... anyone that does this crap or funds this crap is a little psycho. I know I am... just a little.

does a Jockey in the Kentucky Derby behave like that tho?

no one is talking about the fans having fun, but competitors in the biggest event in the sport should at least be a real person, not a character someone made up to make money,

Nope! We have the director of the FIM and the head of MX Sports making acusations (without saying what they are actually concerned about), we have maybe 10-20,000 people with camera phones and 10-20 (or more) professional photo/journalists that were in attendance, but not one official will say what he did that was wrong nor provide any evidence at all that he did it.

Now I have no idea if he did/did not do something awful, but I do know that this is a whole lot of drama.
