Is this team even making the A final on all two strokes? Is the plan to win both the A and the B final?

I'd say Travis Pastrana, Ryan Sipes, and Jimmy Albertson have more business being out on the track than quite a few guys that some countries will bring. The Japanese guy who landed on Anderson comes to mind..

you mean the Japanese National MX2 champion? ok......

just FYI.... he was lapping about 4-5 seconds slower than Anderson a lap on a 250 compared to a 450... at Unadilla today (in the rain), only 6 riders were lapping within 5 seconds of Musquin

so i guess you're saying there should be only 6 rider gates?

Agree. Would not the greatest MX racers in the world prefer to race with peers in FIM’s showcase event instead of slower riders that can’t compete?

Nope, nope, and nope. If you roll the finish line jump without knowing you are a mile ahead of everyone...the blame is ENTIRELY yours. There is no discussing this. No one gets a holey and comes to a dead stop in the first turn...same difference.

That's not what I said at all? I'm just saying if he wants to talk about top riders I think all three of the suggested members of team Puerto Rico would be considered closer to the top than what send some countries. I will admit, the Japanese guy is a bad example, and unfortunately I can't remember his name.

I have no heartache with these 3 racing for Puerto Rico as long as Jimmy is racing as Jimmy. If he pulls that Ronnie Mac shit...no way. This race is for prestige and national pride. If he wanted a stage for his clownery why didn't he enter a national? I always rooted for Jimmy and his alter ego was humorous at first but devolved into an over the top sexist douche. Not a good rep of the sport or an American territory. Hoping this is just a tempest in a teapot and Jimmy stays real.

This isn't the thread to argue this and I'm not saying you're wrong but vision and awareness go a long way. Yes it goes both ways but it's sure as hell a lot easier to see what is going on infront of you than trying to look behind oneself. Especially when you are operating a motor vehicle.

Sorry dude but joke is on you. Puerto Rican’s are American citizens so they in fact do have a president that visited the island this year. You may have even heard of him... his name is Donald Trump. As another poster aptly noted, the poster meant exactly what he said.

Besides Sipes, is anyone on that team able to race 30+2 without totally dropping off the pace after 20 minutes?
You have to expect TP199 will come with proper fitness if he’s doing this. The real question is will his body holdup?

He also has a 2stroke invitation around the same time he’s racing.

Chihiro Notsuka got massively thrown under the bus by far too many respected motocross people for his part in the Anderson incident. He finished just a few seconds behind Jorge Prado in that race and didn't deserve the slating he received. It annoys me when people keep saying that he shouldn't have been out there... That is all i wanted to point out, so hopefully others may learn a bit about him

Good call brother. I just know almost every finish line jump is blind. Rolling the downside while others are still WFO is...well...not prudent. Peace.

I actually like it. It’s a lot better idea to use the team to raise money to actually do something useful and help PR rather than using it as a US B-team. And from the top of my head I can’t think of a much better idea to raise money than what they are doing.

Very true. I admit the Japanese rider (who's name I can't seem to remember for the life of me) was a bad example as I can't deny in that situation Jason deserves at least a decent chunk of the blame. Hope you're having a good afternoon!

This team will have the most interest because of Pastrana and the 2 stroke thing. Great publicity for PR and the team.

Yeah you're absolutely right, I have to admit I didn't realize how well Notsuka rode in that race and bringing him up in that context was wrong of me. I also can't say Anderson doesn't deserve a decent amount of the blame in that incident. Thanks for the info.

Smile yep, got the chores done and the grill is warming up. Had planned on smoking a brisket today but got informed I was taking the granddaughter school clothes shopping. Will get up at 4 am (normal time) and get the smoker stabilized at 225 and try that Texas recipe. Tonight is just rat on a stick (boneless skinless chicken thighs) marinated in Hawaiian teriyaki, oniony Mac and cheese, garden salad. Hope your evening is as goodCheerful

Maybe Guam can send those guys as their team...….

Maybe we could line up a few more...

Samoa
Northern Mariana Islands
US Virgin Islands
And we may even be able to stretch and send a team to represent the tiny bit of land we have at Guantanamo Bay.
