What are the chances Ronnie Mac gets "injured" and Jimmy or someone else (Stank Dog?) fills the alternate spot?

I think the only one who may be "injured" at the moment is sipes after he fell off the roof of the rhino in the pits and the team Puerto Rico for mxon all took off quickly after

Have you seen Pastrana walk lately? His ankles are fused solid. His knees are spaghetti. No way can he get through this, sorry. I don't think his bike or Ronnie Mac's would be permitted either. What might be cool is to play this out as long as possible in order to raise some charity, then they get "banned" and PR ends up fielding a team of Musquin, Bagget and AMart.

Puerto Rico is independent. They voted to stay independent. So no they have a socialist governor no president

Steve Matthes interviewed RJ in his post race interviews, in short Ricky said

Yes it is happening
Been 5 months in the making
RV and Windham were called before Sipes
Filiming a mockumentary about it all
Yes it is for fundraising
Sport needs to lighten up

I wouldn't be surprised if something like this happens but with a different rider or two. There are so many variables going on with this decision.

Well, I hope Pastrana has been training for the last 5 months. We all know Sipes will be ready to do 30+2. Jimmy should be fine too for the most part. They can both go out and be solid. In my opinion, Pastrana is the biggest question mark.

While the FIM has recognized PR sufficiently to allow a team and it historically has been fielded with stateside riders, I wonder why the FIM allows it. I understand dual citizenship and riders able to ride for different countries, just find the PR situation strange. As for riding two strokes and donating money that’s great. If they qualify, even better.

Independent in a different sense than it sounds like what you mean. They do have a governor, and they also have a president. It's the same president that the rest of Americans have. Puerto Ricans are Americans.

Here's the deal. It's a socialist crap hole that refuses to take care of themselves. Dominican republic has no problem rebuilding after hurricanes.

False
False (there are exemptions from personal income tax, but they pay into Social Security, etc)
True, but not truly "independent" as the word would imply
False

Puerto Rico is a US Territory, and their citizens are US citizens.

I hope something like this happens. It'd kick ass if they ran 2 strokes as well. I'd say Anderson over Bagget though.

No disrespect to Albertson, Pastrana or Sipes.

When was the last time a 500 raced the Des Nations?
8/11/2018 11:15pm
It's just sad because there's literally 30 US riders that would compete and actually kill it. And I'm not talking marv and Osborne. Realistic B riders that could crack the top 10. Fucking sucks. Busch league, charity aside.

This could very well be the greatest thing ever to happen in the history of motocross.

That's how I feel about it. Throw RJ in the mix and the awesomeness is complete. Anybody that hates on this is wayyyy too uptight.

Where did they do this interview? The Super 8 motel? https://youtu.be/6Wxr8RtWjh8

So they’ll go with two 250s and one 125 right? Because TP can’t use a 500 for the FIM rules

Why not send riders that actually work their ass off to compete at the highest level in 2018? I’m cool with Sipes, and Pastrana is an awesome dude but there are other riders that are busting ass week after week to make it to the top, let someone else get some shine.

As for Ronnie... yeah, let’s put him up front for a US territory on the world stage. Might as well have Clayton Bigsby out there, too. lol
Easy with the whole "biggest stage" talk ... let's not forget this is motocross , even on the " biggest stage " it will go unnoticed on any legit sports show. We kinda need to realize our lane as a sport and not get disillusioned about how important racing dirt bikes actually is. we need all the big personalities we can get in this sport. We chase them into retirement at a far faster rate than are being created. TP and the boys are a welcomed bit of energy to this sport and event. Luongo doesn't seem to mind.

No worries there, China doesn't send a team lol.

Last time China went was 2011 and before that 2006.

ok 2 things,

you need an international FIM licence to compete at the Des Nations, and a passport of the country you are competing for,
so that means the AMA, and the FIM have to give Ronnie Mac a licence, and he has to get a passport, presumabling in the same name,

as for qualifying, the average points you need to qualify for the des nations A main is 28, they are 20 min plus 2 qualifying races, so i think Sipes can get close a top 15 on the 125, but that means one of the other guys needs to be around 12-14th at least, will be a big ask, but I dont think making the A main is the point for this side show,
No need for passport as they are US citizens and PR is a US territory.

Yeah and that means you can choose a 450/250 four strokes or a 250/125 two strokes

Haha, I came home late last night to treat you guys to a liquor-influenced reaction. My bad.

These guys probably won’t qualify. If Slovenia wíth Gajser even have problems to qualify, these clowns won’t make it.

Still feel this is a circus act at a serious event.
