Just watched 2016 opener at A1, I know it was accidental, but Dungey ended JS7 career with that crash....which was brutal, and he was never the same after that. They'll never be another Bubba.

I don't think he did, and that was the year also when Dung and Mouse lapped James and it turned into an orange cry fest.
Always the same story. Yes they lapped James. Why was that perhaps the story of the year? Only James will make De Coster talk on a lapping incident. Why was that lapping incident so strange? Marvin was around at top level 10 years ago. He has been a pro all his life and is 28. Meaning he saw and raced James - who probably lapped more riders, I will guess, than anyone. Ever? They were not on the same level, worlds collide.

But Reed, he is "gritty", he is "the true legend". How is that? Reed is a bully, he blocks riders as he is lapped, and he can not make a main event from a heat race. He is even more fat than James was in -16, and then James at least almost rode his heart out in vain, after being of the gate for 2 years, TWO years. Theres nothing to discuss, even the pros and the press around for decades will put James in a league of his own. Titles? They do not make no one see a race.Ronny Mac draws more audience than X, Y ,Z - riders that we know were Far Of The Pace, even in prime age in say -14. They are 25 - 33 years old, have no titles, and are great athletes. But they are not James Stewart.

Maybe we can have a taste of that in MXGP where TC and JH are setting another pace that we know is above the US standards by now. The rest are all crashing themselves dead out there, but only James "won since he rode over his head", since hey, "he crashed". He at least did that, or Won. So whats the problem. No one was as Dominant, as much younger, faster, and different (use that as it applies, it goes for a lot). Not in modern moto.

Come on - Austin Forkner is older than James was as he came from a 3 year dominance unmatched forever in the 125 class. And he is not racing Reed and RC in their Prime. Or winning by a half lap? Stewarts career is on the tube. It will speak for itself, no 16 year olds go out and kill the competition right now on prime time. If they do, will they still do it for over 10 years + and then get to know they were lazy asses. By 2010? Watch Daytona -11 and say that again. I think the story will be told one day, and it wont be what we know of.
This was a rare talent, lets just face it.

Malcolm is right. What James is doing is nothing, and the internet has been freaking out about it for years. What are you waiting for? Its happening now.

Malcolm has nice Chevelle and someone had dirty Honda. This photo is such a bait and straight out of Reeds social media playbook Cool https://instagram.com/p/Bjh3ozuneQJ/
James is not coming back, but it is great to see that someone is getting that Honda dirty anyways.

That guy with the man bun knows something. Although there may not be anything to know. James has a CRF450, no secret. Coulda just went and rode some laps for fun. It is fun, after all.

As a super fan and yes damn it I said it super fan love the guy and the family and I've only met his mom at the supercross in Detroit a few years ago when James beat RC for the SX record wins! Anyway he deserves to enjoy his family and life he has earned the wins and whatever amount of $ he has so fuck the haters let the Brothas live his life in peace! If he doesn't come back I just want to say thank you for whipping everybody's ass and making the sport exciting! Made props to a bad ass career that most of these heaters wish they had! One love my Brotha!✌ LoL but low-key I would like to see him ride a few more races on that Honda!

You guys think he has rode for fun at all besides the ride days with kids? Eventually he'll miss being on a bike to some degree I'd imagine

That’s actually Malcom’s old mechanic from like 2015-16 Corrie Barbie, and that’s a 250 back there. Geico bike.

Ha! Tight. Dude doesn’t owe anyone shit, even though it’d be cool if he did some riding videos or one-off events like Villopoto every now and then. He’s just so fun to watch.

I wonder if he was told by a doctor that he shouldn’t ride anymore due to all the concussions, like Millsaps.

I just wish he would come back as a commentator or something and be "around" occasionally. Maybe someday down the road.

Part owner? who owns the other part?

And yes, safe to say JS7 is done racing.

Yeah and how much money does a brand like Seven bring in? Seems to me it wouldn't be much but what do I know.

You would think he would want to promote the brand a little by getting out in the public. Maybe he's a little resentful or embarrassed with the sport and how his career ended? The radio silence of one of the sports biggest stars just seems so odd to me.

If that matters, I think JS7 is set since a long time. He was a superstar from the start so he bought his property in like 03. Even if he has spent "a bit" on toys or a couple mil on cars, he made something like 20-50M after buying his house until 2016.

Isn't Troy Lee part owner of Seven?

They used to be owned by Troy Lee when Seven first started. Maybe a year or two after, they branched off on their own.

James is set for life.

I assume James also has good tax lawyers, so Seven is probably just being used as a tax write off every year to avoid paying too many taxes, or even claim back.

He's sorted and has clever people around him I am sure.
