That said I'd Hate to be Marvin at the next round, because now it's Pay-Back time and Marvin is in this for the Championship and now he's got a BULLSEYE on his back and Tomac could ruin his season. (and I hope he does)
That is assuming et3 doesn't completely flake out (go slow, dgaf) for the remaining races.... which yesterday I would have said no way, but now, who knows what is going through that guys mind

That crossed the line and Marvin knows it. I'm sure he didn't mean it though, shit happens.

I don't much care for either rider but, that was dirty! he was several bike lengths back, $100k is a hellava drug!

Pretty conflicted on this one.

At first i'm like, well yes this is supercross.

But then on the other hand, what the fuck is Eli supposed to do. He jumped in, took the inside rut, nailed it, got his front sawed off exiting the corner. At least with Osborne/Savatgy it was way back in a berm, he was wide etc...

I guess that is how it goes so if you're Eli you expect it every week and start doing the same, because clearly the Baker's riders practice this stuff whereas Dungey/RV etc never did.

This kind of thing is bound to happen from time to time. Maybe it was a blatent takeout, maybe it was honest mistake. Osborne's pass in Vegas last year was clearly a take out and almost no one cared. There's also lots of chest puffing and macho talk on here about the last lap heat race and LCQ passes we see frequently. But Musquin does it to Tomac and all of a sudden it's unacceptable?

Is Baker a riding technique coach also or just a trainer? Not being a smart ass Crush, just don’t know what all is worked on at his compound

In the future I will refer to it as Marvin's Meltdown.

He led the whole race and Tomac went blitzing past Marvin in the whoops and appeared to be on the way to the win......Marvin then had a toddler episode and what followed was the Marvin Meltdown.

I don't really mind the pass . But Marv blaming Eli for cutting down was complete crap. Eli was in a deep rut. And Marv imply s that Eli cut down were no one had been riding . For a rut to get that deep a lot of guys were using that line .he should just say he went for the win and that was that . Saying Eli was part of the blame was really really stupid and a plain lie

I like both riders. It was a pretty rough pass.....
But it was for the WIN.
If Marvin didn’t go for it a lot of people would be calling him a pussy. He did what he had to do and should just own up to it.
Eli was understandably pissed but kudos to him for being professional about it on the podium.
I was at the race- the people around me were ready to lynch Marv.
Just my 2 cents.....

Bro im not gonna resort to name calling here but Eli cut down and was back on the gas thinking Marv wasnt going to take that inside line and he did ... there was NOTHING wrong with that move Eli left the door open and it wouldve looked a helluva lot less dramatic had ELI not gassed it as he was falling off the bike

Seriously ELIS MOTIONS WAS REMINDED ME ME OF NBA BASKETBALL “FOULS” at the end of the game when theyre tied lol
'Bro' is resorting to name calling.

Not sure how you can cut down when you are following a rut.

Comes down to what is considered leaving the door open. If you are a bike width off the tuff blocks then the door is open.

Sorry I guess I shouldn’t have used practice. As in carry it out, not spend time chopping front ends as a technique to work on at home.

It was a pass we’ve seen Anderson do a lot. It’s shitty for the other racers though, I don’t know what the answer would be, especially if the perpetrator doesn’t give a fuck.

Accepting the fact that all is fair in war and racing, I still can't get past Cross-Jumpin-Marv's excuse train on the podium. Somebody explain to me why he was trying to deny it?

Eli should have kicked Marv over while he was stuck for a minute haha. Honestly though, it's for a win and we've seen just as bad, if not worse moves, for the last spot in the LCQ. Eli has every right in the world to be pissed off and Marv has every right in the world to lay it in for a race win.

RV calling it like he sees it. $100,000 win bonus on the line and neither of you stand a chance to win the title. Lay him out I say!
One of these guys has both the most sx race wins in history as well as the most titles. The other guy quit after he fell off the back of his bike. Case closed.

Jason Anderson can break his femur this week due to his chain breaking at the test track. Points matter, dumbass.

Guy that wears #22 has made a career of that stuff. Nobody had anything bad to say about him when he did it.
False. Chad is the 2nd most hated rider on this board

Martin Davalos won at St. Louis in 2014 and had an 8 point lead going into the final two rounds. He had a bike malfunction mid-week and broke his leg, handing the title to Bogle. I just wanted to say that before you say it can't happen. It's unlikely, but Marvin is trying to keep himself in this title fight anyway he can.

stoked for marv, he did the right thing, won the race! Scoreboard, as long as the check clears, who gives a crap about the 2nd place finisher, whatever his name is. He gets paid to win, period, not make friends. So funny to read all the crybaby comments. He won, your boy lost, deal with it! hahahaha

That line is totally legit, if it's inside the track boundaries it is fair game, whether anyone rode there the whole race or not.

That has less to do with the racing incident and more to do with how miserable everyone is from freezing their ass off just to get 10 minutes of track time with a 482-Moto wait between races...

"It looked like a nasty take out but actually if we look at the lines & slow mo, it looks more that Tomac made a (little) mistake;
I am sorry but after a pass for the lead, a few corners later, don't cut so short on the most inside line while the other rider has no clue about it as he was infront the full race, it is waiting for something like this to happen.
Had Tomac just took the 2nd line, which was also quite inside, he would have won...
It happens, it is racing, it was just a bit crazy to see it !"
Pretty good summary.

That is a stupid statement you made and why would you attach your “Wholesale Price on Amsoil” ad below such a dumb comment. That is bad business man.

Anyways, with regards to your statement, Jeremy won a lot of supercross races and supercross titles and I believe he is a super nice guy, but he was not a tough racer. He was the leader in the supercross only contracts and had difficulty with the tougher MX series. Jeremy even admitted that he regretted giving up in a race, that likely cost him a championship. Villipoto was dominant in both outdoors and supercross. RV was like the Tasmanian Devil and ripped through his competitors. So I don’t see why you would make a condescending comment about a champions career just because you disagree with a statement he made on Twitter?

Jeremy was a hero in my youth, but it doesn’t mean you don’t appreciate others greatness.

That was a very aggressive move by Marvin, but Eli made it possible.

I’m sorry but that’s not the case. The only further inside was what Marvin did or literally roll around the tuff block, and that wouldn’t work as a normal racing line. Eli nailed the very inside rut and Marvin sawed his nose at the exit. It’s dirty, but it’s also Sx racing.
4/21/2018 11:04pm
Here's a question... was Marvin hitting that triple out of that berm from the far outside line? or the very inside line that Tomac used? That was the first lap of the main that Marv was behind Eli coming into that berm, did Marvin maybe think that Eli was going to set up for the triple on the outside rut and was preparing to take him high in the berm? He came into the corner with about the right momentum to take him high in the corner, but Eli checked up and took the far inside line. Just my 2 cents if Marv was hitting the outside rut in the main.
