Based off his (Malcolm) instagram post this am, I would guess he is not racing A1 as I would think he'd be in socal by now..... he doesn't mention racing at all an seems to be more interested in being silly than racing ....it's becoming more of joke to him than anything it seems..... he looked pretty good in those clips And I am sure he will follow his brothers footsteps and not bother to mention his plans to anyone

Certainly doesn’t look like Florida
I saw that as well-certainly appears to be CA........ I may be mistaken, but his post today in the freezing cold I thought was Florida.... appeared to be at the Stewart compound.... either way, no mention of A1 or anything

Yes they did.

I can't believe this. What possible reason would there be to miss the first round "again " this year?

Christ!....This is why I said skipping that MCR ride was a huge mistake. Won't do the nationals , wants a part time ride in SX only , good luck Malcolm.

So wait is he riding A1 or not I'm confused.

Read that other thread with him on a Kawi and thought well good he's in and now he isnt?

So if not whats the deal? I mean great, anyone is entitled to Instacrap a picture of themselves having fun on a dirt bike, but MS suddenly posting this just before A1 with no context?

They've said when they retire we'll "never hear from us again" (ooohhh the drama look at me I can take my toys and leave)....so if thats the case cant they just please leave and never be heard from again? Which doesnt equal Instagram posts of riding an SX track just before the first event of the year.

Edit: That reads a little harsh.

He will regret wasting his talent when he's older. What a shame......Why they don't start their own team? Hell, people still want to see them both ride. Especially malcom now........

That's right in your neighborhood. The mountain bike trails right off of the 215. I sure hope he shows up!

No Malcom at A1? Would be interesting to see how he'd do this year. Not showing at A1 is a sure sign of ????....... Somebody please answer the question for me.

Who knows with Kawasaki's factory matriculation program. The Team Green to Pro Circuit transition happens regularly but the Pro Circuit to Factory 450 happens rarely. Off the top of my head I think it's happened 4 times in 25 seasons.

The last Pro Circuit guy to graduate to a Factory Kawasaki ride was Weimer in 2010. Villopoto in 2009. Carmichael in 1999. Hughes in 1996. Pro Circuit Kawasaki champions like Wilson, Baggett, Tickle, Pourcell, Townley, Langston, etc. have not been given Factory Kawasaki spots in the past after winning titles and being Kawasaki guys.
Nicely done.

I’m not doubting any of that...but why so much talk that a key factor is teams not wanting the Stewart’s onboard is that the package includes Big James. I’ve even heard more than one comment here that he’s hard to work with...and worse. He seems pretty cool to me, but I’ve never met the man.

My guess is hanging out with Big James is different than being the suspension guy who is doing his sons bike at the race.
Any Dad should just let their kids do their job without interference, Chisholm’s dad is a good example.
But I’m sure a team could dictate a kids dad out of the picture if they wanted to.

My take is it's a damn shame he's in whatever position he is in.

Literally won a lites title just a couple years ago. WTF.

Whatever it is due too, it's a shit outlook for the sport.

Maybe Malcolm came on here and read all the idiot comments from the Vital experts and said the fuck with it since nobody wants him there anyway.

No they didn't. It clearly said 'If Malcolm does ride at A1', not to mention the person I offered it to didn't reply. Does anyone on here speak English because honestly there's not a lot of big words in that one. An abundance of assumptions and bullshit around here

Seems like he wants a big fat contract for the least possible amount of work (don't we all?).

Trouble is, he hasn't had results since moving up to 450 and looks out of shape. Plus hiring him means his Dad gets involved. Plus there's loads of hungry young riders as fast as him. The only positive side I can see to hiring him is that his surname is Stewart which brings a lot of exposure, but not all of that exposure is positive either.

Should have taken the MCR ride IMO and got some top 10 results, he's still young enough to earn that fat contract but I don't see it dropping into his lap at this stage.

Practice lap times suggested he was off the pace and fitness is questionable, waiting on factory race parts in the mail, better take a pass on SX to be ready for the outdoors.

I agree with much of this, but strongly disagree that "there's loads of hungry young riders as fast as him"

I was thinking same thing and agree with the rest of post as well. I was hoping Mookie would have another year of maturity and learn from last year. Going off his last IG post he didn't look like someone a few days out from A1. I'm starting to think he doesn't understand the commitment and attitude it takes to be successful at this level which sucks because I want him to do well

You pretty much said , if he races A1 , he'll be top 7. Key word there I guess is " IF "......you should be thanking Malcolm for not showing up , because unlike you , he knows he would get waxed at this particular time. Fast enough to make a 6 lap heat , but probably one of the first to get lapped in the main....and he knew it. So basically you thought he would get top 7 from a stupid Instagram video......and he doesn't even show. So yeah , you're looking pretty fucking stupid right about now there slick.

I don't think I look stupid, I said If he does ride A1 which we clearly don't know. And now you look like a child who responds emotionally when they've made a mistake

He might have come on here and read multiple posts stating he needs to train and get in better shape than the fadaholic we saw last year, realized they are correct, and said "nah".

You guys are more upset about it than he is. Live and let live. Can't stand the constant talking down of the best dirt bike riders in the world on this site. It's like most of you have absolutely no clue what it takes to be one of the best motocross racers on the planet, because if you did, you'd have a little damn respect for all these guys go through so you can cry about them on the internet the next day. This post isn't specifically toward you are even about Malcolm.

He didnt race outdoors. For 2 years. That alone proved to everyone he doesnt want to race. Nobody wants a half assed effort when their brands and millions of dollars are reliant on that 1 guy.

He missed Nationals after he won the 250 SX Championship due to health issues. Last year he didn't have a ride. Would you travel all over the country spending all of your money to race Nationals to please the message board trolls? I agree that things would probably be going better for him if he raced Nationals, but he can't even get a ride for SX where there is money to be made. Why would he go race the Nationals for nothing?

The professional level of motocross and supercross is not "redneck". Your local track and the people who ride there probably are.
