Thank you! The ignition cover is hard anodised since it's aluminum, and the magnesium clutch cover was stripped, bead blasted, and then soaked in hot water and baking soda.

I see, I ran into the same issue on my 2011 crf450, you could actually feel it bottom metal to metal, but when you checked the oring it still had 2 inches of travel left, it turns out someone had put larger oil lock collars on and they were smacking into the top of the bottoming cone. I wound up...

Milestone, Pala, Elsinore and Hemet all have SX tracks, including all the corona test tracks. I would assume with the rain IF tracks are open next week Tuesday would be your best shot, maybe Monday too. Milestone is probably your best bet, however corona will have all the big names and it's pretty cool to see all the individual tracks.

I like the brembo master cylinder, I have one on both my Hondas. It's definitely got quite a bit more power imo. It does have a different feel to it, and it's still no KTM but I think that could be because of my line. I did not swap the caliper though, there's no way that I know of to...

Thanks man I greatly appreciate it! For the frame all I did was wash it with eagle one and then I scrubbed it with maroon scotchbrite and sos. Same thing for the cases except no eagle one and I used 320 sand paper first. I did polish the header and it did blue very nice, one of my favorite things...

Thanks! They're great bikes. With the $1700 I payed for the bike itself and everything I have into it, I'm probably at about 6k, that's obviously far more then it will ever be worth to anyone else, but it's way better then a new bike imo for much less.

Thanks man! Yeah I've got about 10hrs on it now and i absolutely love it! As far as the coatings its hard to say because I didn't have anything to compare it to, but I've built alot of suspension and when you build something that's coated you definitely notice how much smoother everything is so on some level its definitely...

I think these new motors just have loud valve train, my buddys 16 sx450f and a customers 16 husky fc450f, both had a loud ticking sound. One thing to check, it appears the valve shims wear out and actually increase valve clearances which would cause them to be loud, this happened on both bikes mentioned at only 20hrs, clearances were...

Like stated above splitting the cases is definitely the best way to do it, you may be able to throw a Time-sert in it, I prefer this because you now have a much stronger thread material that won't strip
