Just because he ran around to a few races in a van doesn't mean he was roughing it. He had a competitive bike with good parts and tech support and I believe he probably has a little money in the bank to be self supportive like he did to prove a point. If anything, his "privateer" support just increased his fan base and showed when it's time to buck up or go home, he bucks up and does it.
DW's been on good equipment with alot of support for most of his career so he knows exactly what it takes to do the dam thing.
I was more impressed with Henry Miller putting in a good pair of motos than Dean getting back on the box, where he is expected to be
i like Wilson , but you are way over rating his results ,this year. so far ..... i have nt been that impressed with his outdoors tbh ,and i am sure Dean feels the same ,up to last week. He has been a long ways off the speed like s of Bogle , tickle ,Craig, Pieck, have showed . at time s.
your OP make s it sound like he is killing it all year .

Dean has been great ? he has been soild , far from great. but well wort his ride .glad for him .
What i find funny ..CP377 results were better last year and most here were bagging on him .
Dean is fast as hell however IMO he burned his early opportunities. Injuries didn't help. Didn't he have some shoulder stuff that couldn't get right?
Ex national 250 champs with bags of potential, sure Trey had done more in 450s but Dean literally hadn't even got a shot and you couldn't distinguish talent levels between the two. They're both freaks.
So why would you drop one for the other?
I'd get dropping Dean and picking up Webb or J-Mart, because that is literally buying into the future potential, but they swapped one hard luck story for another, and got un-lucky. Hence they'd be kicking themselves.
As for not doing well, dude was inside top 10 SX and opened the outdoors with a couple 4ths, grabbed a podium, and now sits in 5th and started the year in a fucking van with his pops. There must be a lot of chop liver out there then.
Yamaha is probably kicking themselves hardest. He was on a Yamaha and doing well with it. Instead they invested heavily in coop. Putting all your eggs in one basket is never a good idea.
Pit Row
Flame on if you want but with hindsight Yamaha & KTM ( now RD is gone, Trey is banged up) MAYBE should have signed him, I'm a bid Deano fan
I think Dean Wilson wants it more than a lot of guys who finished behind him at Southwick. I believe he wants it more than a lot of guys behind him no matter where he finishes. I'm not ignorant enough to think he'll be the champion...or that he'll even finish in the top-three...but he's really setting himself up for 2018, and I think he'll be a regular podium guy indoors & out next year, with a possible win or two to boot.
He should quit, along with the 35 other guys he beats on a regular basis.
2. His deal at Rockstar Husqvarna Factory Racing is a good one and it's going to help him get great gear deals, too.
3. He's been "Blatantly Honest" in his interviews...which I would think a lot of you find refreshing versus the same'pl shit ya get from a lot of folks.
4. He and his family are outgoing and positive people. Andy, his dad, knows how to do a pretty damn good lap on a dirt-bike. His mom is always smiling. His girlfriend is always helping out. The entire crew is awesome.
5. Anyone that says,"Aldon's guys are made of glass" is either High or just a complete idiot.
6. We're going to see more than a few of our guys (from our US racing series') in the MXoN.
7. This season has been Epic and Deano's one of the reasons for it.
Post a reply to: Wonder how many teams kick themselves for not signing Wilson?
