Actually, would like a true full screen though. Running a HMI from PC to large screen looks weird...but better than the laptop

I drank the koolaid. I paid the $50. I tried to watch hangtown on my mobile last week off wifi and my celluar connection and wasn't very impressed, to say the least. I did at least get to see some of the moto's which was better than nothing. A lot of buffering. I actually went to Glen Helen yesterday and saw the races in person, then decided when I got home it would be awesome to re-watch the broadcast so I could catch what I missed in person.

So far this NBC sports gold is crap. Its not worth the money. The streaming quality is poor, the sound quality is terrible (the audio comes through pixelated and not in sync with the broadcast), and why are there the repetitive "COVERAGE WILL RESUME SHORTLY" intermissions?! We paid good money to watch the moto's UNINTERRUPTED. It doesnt take a whole lot of editing for NBC to eliminate the commercial breaks and tie the beginning and end of the breaks together. Why should we have to fast forward through this crap? Why is it when we want to watch the moto's you're greeted with coverage will resume shortly? If its live I get that, but the replays should absolutely not be this way. Its terrible!

Ive also found that if you try to watch from the website, you have three or four different sign in steps you have to go through just to get to watch the moto's. Once you're signed into your account you're then taken to tennis, track and field, horse racing, gay midget porn and gawd knows what else. If I signed up for a motocross account, once I sign in shouldnt we be automatically taken to the moto page? Also when you watch one moto, there is no link back to the main page to see the next moto's. You HAVE to close that page, then go back through and sign in AGAIN and repeat all these steps again.

WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. (yes I called NBC and emailed. so far no response)

The Firestick costs $40 one time for the Fire Stick. Playstation Vue is a live TV streaming service with multiple plans. The plan we have is for $35/month (much better than the $120 we paid for DTV). It's the popular channels + sports package (includes ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, B10 network, local Fox sports affiliates, etc). It also has free DVR service. Its a great deal.

Upgrade to the box over the stick. The menus and guides work a lot better.
Exactly what TX said! The box costs about $90.00...BUT , it's worth every penny compared to the stick. You can add a mini SD card for more memory and load all sorts of stuff on there. ( I think mine was 128gb? ) The box also works about 5 X faster than what the stick does. I run Kodi on it ( as well as my HTPC ) and it works great. If you are new to the Kodi world , there is a learning curve...but gawd dang , it opens up a whole other world! I feel spoiled haha.

To the original poster....your internet connection sucks balls! My neighbor has a cheap 10mb line and watched this past weekend , and it was crystal clear. He has kids online playing games on two other computers and it didn't lag one bit. Get your connection tested.

I was nervous as hell dropping $50 on a live streaming app, but holy shit am I happy I did.

Coverage was spot on, streaming was phenomenal, and it was extremely user friendly.

I bought it for my firestick, and can honestly say that's the best 50 bucks I have spent in years.

Thank you MX sports, thank you NBC, and thank you firestick. Best moto coverage I've ever had!

What are you guys finding to be the best way to cast it to your tv. I've used fire stick and it is grainy. I've used a Samsung S7 and mirrored the screen to my Samsung tv but it is of poor quality also. It looks crisp on my IPhone, IPad and S7 but want to watch it on my 65 inch tv. My download internet speed is 70 Mbps and the speeds are always consistent. Has anyone used Apple TV and if so is the quality in true HD. When moto 2 comes on NBC SPORTS it looks awesome but if I stream it to the tv from how I said earlier it's horrible.
I use my mac on the website connected to my tv with a thunderbolt to hdmi cable and it works perfect just like watching it on the actual channel other than the full screen still being set up like it was last year with room on top of a banner ad that they no longer have. I live in Canada so it was a no brainer to pay the 50 bucks which with the Canadian dollar sucking right now it cost 70 Canadian.

I said I used wifi and cellular, aka switching different forms of service to eliminate broadband connection issues. Your only read what you wanted to see, and not the entire statement. Its called confirmation bias. Moron. I then said Im having similar issues at home. Home meaning you know, hardline connection, not my cellphone.
Damn bro, anger issues much? The nbc gold app has been great...much better than the fox sports go app IMO. I've had no issues on a pc directly connected to the interwebz or on a 4g mobile device. Sorry for your luck.

NBC Gold sucks. $50 bucks is a lot of money to come up with, I had to not go out to dinner once a couple of weeks ago, just to watch the outdoor Nationals this summer. And it might be my internet speed, all the racing was great , but it seemed like Tomac went slower in the second 450 moto. Silly

I don't know how you could have a worse internet connection than mine as I am in a village of 350 people in the ass crack of Canada (max of 5mb). And the service has been perfect. I haven't even had to kick my YouTube zombie son to disconnect to free up bandwidth. What service do you have? Were you using a public wifi hotspot?

It's pretty terrible, I know. I need to trim a sixer of micros a week out of my budget for two more weeks just to make up for it.

This. How steps are there in transmitting a video feed to a phone via cellular data. And the OP zeros in on the provider. Or he is trolling.

I have been dragging my feet on signing up. Am I to understand that they go to
"Coverage Will Return Shortly" right after the motos and dont show the interviews?

If so, seem like we are getting short changed.

Depends on your definition of "shortly"
Seems at least 3 mins. (And 3 mins seems like a lifetime looking at a screen that says "Coverage will return shortly", wondering if you could have paid more, and got a service without these screens/messages)
All the interviews are there. Then it says "Coverage is complete" (still boring screen - not trophy girl, or works bike)

I'm pretty sure the very occasional buffering, and the more common "extra low definition" I experience are internet speed related. My internet speeds are pretty good, but I have to use a VPN to hide MX from Nanna. (Nanna in this case; which ever rip off, soon to be gone, pay tv provider that insists on "exclusive regional coverage". Bad luck if you don't want to pay to watch "Mash" reruns, and the first Moto.)

I think the "coverage to return shortly" is the normal commercial break after the moto. We got what was promised, the 30+2 mains uninterrupted. No complaints here. It was worth the $50.

I watched the hangtown qualifiers between motos at the track, watched glen helen while shopping for cars with the wife. No issues as long as I have at least 2 bars of LTE on Verizon. My only gripe is the lack of a search feature on android. A filter is not a search.

Haven't been able to catch it live yet, but on catch up? Zero issues!

Mine has been pretty much flawless. I could? watch it through my DSL, but nobody in the house can be watching or doing anything internet related, or I will buffer badly at 1.2 Mbps, so I bought into Singular Wireless hotspot, which is still only about 6 Mbps, but at least I can stream the races and the boys can be on their Xbox with no issues. It's a good thing I bought the package, because the last few months, my DishTV DVR has been missing the races. I don't know why, I have it set up to record ALL (new and rerun) races, and it will still not record. If I go to the actual race in the program guide, and hit record this one event, it will record, but to cover all events, I'll miss almost all of them. I have priority set to top as well. Sometimes they change the wording in the program guide and I'll catch that. Anywho, the live feed is the bee's knee's for me. Big thumbs up here.

Agree with most everyone else here in that it has worked as promised for me. Well worth the money imo.

Only compliant I had was no Roku support, even though the Gold app is available, just not the content (which is weird). So I just use it over the web, and /or cast to my TV and it has worked flawlessly every time. Have not noticed any buffering, and the stream has always been HD quality. Now just give us the Supercross package!

My 4g speeds at home are around 40mbps download. My cable modem connection is 10mbps download.

Go ahead and run a speed test. I think you're trying to put the blame on the app instead of your internet media. It seems most people have no issues with streaming quality and is isolated to your internet connection.

Also I don't have to close the page and sign out. I use the back button and am able to select the next race. You seem to be having a lot of isolated issue that involve just you.

I've had nothing but a great experience using the NBC Gold App. I used it to watch Hangtown and it was great absolutely no issues. I had to work overtime this past Saturday and I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to watch Glen Helen without a bunch of buffering while in the basement of Flamingo Hotel on the Vegas strip. I had zero issues and had the app playing next to me while I welded a bunch of Grease Duct. Working for time and a half with live moto playing I couldn't of been any happier especially from the days of calling
1-800 numbers to get results over the phone and waiting for Cycle News to show up. NBC Gold is pure GOLD

Roku is not a very good device when compared to an Amazon Fire TV box. It has a lot of app/limitation issues.

I'm loving the NBC gold app, up in Canada we don't get SX. I'm praying that they will offer the same thing to be able to watch SX for 2018!

So far so good, the only thing is they are throwing in some adds for F1 and other stuff that they said would be ad free. Time to have the same kinda thing for supercross in 18.
