I have to agree with the MXGP contingent that you shouldn't call a series "World Championship" if it is only contested in one country. AMA Grand National Championship seems fitting to me.

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Matt and his family over the years announcing at Freestone for the JS7 every spring. He's a level headed young man for sure and comes from a hard working family so I'm not at all surprised to see his pragmatic way of moving on. Injuries really did him in as far as getting the results and that sucks.

Didn't we just watch Chase go toe to toe with one of the all timers for like 18 straight motos 30 seconds to a minute ahead of everyone else? I like jett but to act like he's the favorite now is pretty funny

The difference between the riders of Bob’s era and the riders of today is not training techniques, or equipment, etc.. It’s the culture and environment they were brought up in. People of today, including todays riders, are just generally softer than older generations. It’s why they cut the motos to 25 minutes on a 101 degree day now. Todays default mindset is “is it safe!?”. When back in Bob’s day it was “let’s separate the men from the boys”. Not to sounds uphill both ways, but it’s just a reality. Every facet of life has gotten easier, including todays racing...

I hope not, I still think those Bar-X bikes are some of the best looking ones at the track every weekend.

I'm rooting for Tomac, and I still say let it be. Sexton got off the gas and rolled back onto the track slow enough where he didn't gain any advantage. I'd hate to see something like that come into play. May the best man win...even if he winds up being Sexton.

Didn't seem like he gained any advantage, getting a bit caught up in the banner slowed him down enough maybe. I'm hoping there's no penalty so we can go into this final round with just a 1 point difference.

They need to encourage all the riders they chased away , back into the 450 class. And the EMX thing is long overdue, pointless having a feeder class with the same age limit... moving MX2 to 24 would also help, forcing guys out when there are no 450 seats isnt great.

He hasn't been yarding the locals at these A races he has been racing the last 2 weeks. I dont think he breaks the top 12 either moto. I think he is going to be surprised at the pace, how slick the track is in practice, and how deep the ruts are in the motos. He might have a bit of a target on him as well.
