He will be decent with them, they are a good team, been about a long while, and he will have a good national series to keep him busy as well.

Glad to see him get another go round, they have worked hard to get where they are, he was on an 85 the first race i commentated at .

And i think this is interesting for silly season as well....

Tweets from Lewis Phillips from this weekend:
Heard from three people now that EMX Open could be axed to push more wildcards into MXGP.

and
Heard from four people today that there will be a new age rule, 21, on EMX250 next year. A positive first step…

They need to encourage all the riders they chased away , back into the 450 class.

And the EMX thing is long overdue, pointless having a feeder class with the same age limit... moving MX2 to 24 would also help, forcing guys out when there are no 450 seats isnt great.

I guess a 21 year old rule will help in quantity, not direct in quality for mx2. I THINK from the top 15 in emx250 Tondel, martinez and talviku will be affected. And i guess there will be like 10 other riders who now have to wildcard if they want to race at a gp weekend. But those are guys outside of top 15 in emx250

After a collaboration of twelve years, Jeffrey Herlings and Ruben Tureluren will no longer work together from next year.
Jeffrey Herlings and Ruben Tureluren will not continue together in 2023

Together they have won five world titles and 99 Grand Prix competitions. Together they rode one success after another and during this period they knew what to do with her in successful but also difficult times.

Whether Ruben will take on a new challenge within motocross is unknown and the same applies to who will now accompany Herlings during his comeback in the 2023 MXGP World Championship.

I've a gut feeling that Herlings is mentally done, maybe he wants to go for the outdoor championship and quit. That getting new tracks and new competition in the AMA National championship is maybe the change he needs to overcome the chronic pain he has... Maybe "firing" Ruben is a part of looking to those new stimuli, working with someone else, but I don't think that is the case. His reaction: deleting all his KTM pictures from Instagram (to upload them a day or two later) showed that he wasn't happy towards the people who needed it to know.

The other side in me thinks: They are reconstructing or have reconstructed his both feet because of the problems and to lessen the chronic pain. When those surgeries are successful, then why returning? Having the chance that you're screwing your body up a little bit more? The money is in the bank, the two "Wunderkids" didn't brought us what we thought they would bring but they don't need to do it for us, they only need to do it for themselves.

To take Roczen also in consideration: They are both World champion, Herlings multi-time because he stayed in Europe, Roczen once because he went towards the USA to become multi-time AMA champ. They both won the MXoN and they are one of the few in our sport who are able to say: "I'm done with working in my life".

Ruben was Herlings' training mechanic. I guess he'll work with Liam Everts now (his nephew, Liam's mom Kelly is Ruben's sister).

I’ve read that Ruben is going to work with Kay De Wolf.
Apparently the split was KTm’s choice…
Again, just rumours floating around…😉

That would be awful imo. Why would they split a mechanic that knows absolutely everything about his rider?

If that’s really the choice of KTM, i don’t get it. They are a golden team. That also might why Herlings deleted all the KTM shots off his Instagram to make a statement.

Again, Ruben was his training mechanic. During the GP-weekends it's someone else.

Last year his practice mechanic was David Needham, Ruben Tureluren was more or less like a riding coach both in training and at the races where the mechanic was Wayne Banks

I wonder who at ktm is making that decision. Ruben is awesome and I believe he kept Jeffrey on track many years. Without him who knows what kinda wild life that kid would have had

114 motorsports goes to World Supercross, NILS Honda.

So who are the free agents?
- Fernandez
- Watson
- Jacobi
- Jonass
- Van Doninck
- Vlaanderen?

Which teams do have spots?
- Beta
- JM Honda
- Kawasaki factory

Which teams are transforming?
- I heard Standing will be on Honda?

Less and less money is put into the MXGP and now KTM group is restricting sponsorship it get’s even more tight. I hope Infront will scratch their heads and won’t rely too much on oversea races. Even though we had amazing championship battles, the amount of racers (getting paid) has significantly descreased over the years. No wonder Vialle is heading to the USA.

Too early, we're hearing 2024 for MXGP and US racing with Triumph.

Really worry for MXGP first year I haven’t really bothered watching and sometimes just skip through races. Tracks are boring and not wide enough just single line follow the leader unless someone gets really creative. Watching AMA is so much better and the tracks have so many lines. If I was a rider I would be looking at US plus being a Brit don’t think there will be much to cheer about next year as I think we were spoilt by the Tommy. Shaun and anstie Years geting GP wins. Just hope Rizzi and Bruce get a full season next year and maybe we could see one break through

This is needed because seeing 15-20 riders racing is not a good showing, You cant call mxgp series a world championship with such pathetic showing. Hope it happens next season.

So KTM Group is pulling Husqvarna out of MXGP in 2023? And possibly MX2 in the coming years? And they branded Tech3 Gas Gas in MotoGP for 2023 and forward.

What is KTMs plan with the white brand for the future? Looks like more effort is being put into Gas Gas.

I'm very skeptical regarding scrapping EMX Open. There were no EMX Open in France and the gate was half empty in the MXGP race. Also this problem was a thing the years before EMX Open got introduced.

Very, very few of the EMX Open riders will participate in MXGP if they scrap the class. Maybe a handful, or at best 10 of them will race a couple of races. None of them will do a full European MXGP season.
