No…. Period!!!!!! Chase will have no one challenging him after Eli calls it quits. Windham was sandwiched in between Mc Grath, Carmichael, Stew, and Reed. If you want me to elaborate, there were also people like Larry Ward, Henry, Lusk, DV, and Larocco. I can go on and on…Sorry it was harder to go fast on a 2T vs a 4T. Guess what I’m trying to say is , back then, you wanted to win at all cost and not settle into a pace.
Focus forward.
Jett is already dominating Sexton on every MX measure.

Sexton may become the next windham or Jett could become the next seely. Whatever the outcome, one question still remains. Why is beef jerky so damned expensive?

Yeah Jett hasn't lost a championship to chase yet, let that sink in! Laughing

I could see the comparison. Who would you guys rank higher. Chase or ac when he’s healthy. I’d say chase. Has time passed him ac by as well? Is ac the next dean wilson? Everyone loves him but injuries just racking up.

You figure out an answer to that question and you could damn near solve the world's problems.

I really hate to say it, but AC may be following his buddy Betts before too long. It sucks because we should be smack dab in the middle of the AC Dynasty and people arguing if he belongs on the Moto Mt. Rushmore or not.

Didn't we just watch Chase go toe to toe with one of the all timers for like 18 straight motos 30 seconds to a minute ahead of everyone else? I like jett but to act like he's the favorite now is pretty funny

Just noticing some similarities in riding style and the people they are racing against.
Is it bad when a team scores 45 points in a foosball game, and Loses?Silly

Bro save some of whatever you are smoking for the rest of us. With Eli out, Chase has the most top end speed of anyone outdoors next year and it ain't that close. Kevin was never that guy.

Chase seems to have a little more of the "I hate to lose attitude" Windham never seemed to bothered by losing. I could be wrong but thats how I remember kw

First, who has legit knowledge HRC is letting Chase walk?

Second, how can you compare CS23 to KDUB? Chase is 23 years old and has the majority of his career in front of him.

Third, how the fuck can you even go there yet?

Lastly, I would take KW14’s career in a heartbeat.

Here’s another golden Vital thread!

Fuck man why is it so hard to make people understand you can have an opinion of a racer without hating said racer?!?!

So we should never compare anyone who is up and coming to anyone who has ever lived? You sound like a lot of fun to bench race with. Let's just forget all about it and come back in 15 years and line by line statistically compare their careers, SMH

Its a fair, and good comparison.

To me the biggest difference is that Windham was fairly self-sabotaging in his early years in the big class. Bike switches, team conflict, extra curriculars, a lack of preparation. He actually become a model of consistency after his comeback in ‘03, and matured a ton with age.

There are much less question marks in Chase’s program, to me. His streakiness is fading fast, and he was rock solid in the Nationals and at MXoN.

Windham like Chase has impeccable style and is amazing to watch on a bike, but his other similarity may be crappy timing.

With K-Dubs speed he should have by all rights been a multi time champion. He was just unfortunate to have his career at the same time as the greatest racers the sport has ever seen. He came along at the end of the MC era just like Sexton is coming along at the end of the Tomac era.
By the time Windham was ready to win titles so was RC, then Chad and Bubba. Talk about bad timing. If Chase doesn't take home some hardware next year, he is in danger of getting shut out of championships by Jett Lawrence.

From what we are hearing Honda may feel this way because it looks like they are willing to let Chase walk after next year and are pushing all in with Jett.

* No hate on either K-Dub or Chase, they are amazing racers. K-Dub is way better than a lot of guys that have had championships and Chase had enough points to beat Eli in any other year besides this one. Two bad dudes on dirt bikes.
actually jett reminds me more of Kdub....minus the beard.........(both poetry in motion)

Kdub looked like he was trailriding outdoors whilst handing most their ASSES!

I personally dont think Jett is going to come in and be a threat right away. Im not on that hype wagon that he has. This Sexton kid is about to have it figure out.

Windham is proof the best rider may not always be the faster rider. His style and bike handling are second to none. I'm a fan for sure. Even if he wasn't on a kawi.

Nope, with the "Rebuilding since 1957" Detroit Lions it's par for the course. Hell, last week they were up 10 with about 6 minutes left and once again stole defeat from the jaws of victory.

Does Dylan not exist anymore? Next year is hugely important for Chase. If he doesn't win he is in danger of missing his window.

Anything without a clear direction that the mob will approve of will get the usual downvote treatment. Don't take it personally.
I think it is too early to see if he will be as good as Windham. Kdub was racing RC for a good part of his career and never seemed to have any time without a legend ahead of him. He had a long career that Chase should be envious of.
With Eli out of Nationals and Dylan back I think next year will be pivotal for Chase.
