I don't normally chime in on these negative threads but....
These guys often post looking for parts on a vintage site that I frequent and I and others choose NOT to help out in hopes that they fizzle.
Enough said.

Their main business is selling used car's. I still get mad as hell when I think how they screwed up my "Dream Of A Lifetime 81 YZ 250" and turned it into an absolute nightmare. I could write a book,, but, like tydog....enough said. Oh, I love your Kawi, very good looking bike.

I also bought a bike from them for $3500 "ready to race", have spent a lot on it just to get it ready to run. No original plastics, painted tank that disintergrated when fuel was added, rebore and piston, the list goes on. Their work is rubbish

There couldn't be a more scrupulous market in MX than the vintage market " Im going to pull a fast one on people who are least likely to have a fast one pulled". There are no words to describe how dumb this guy is.

Not defending these guys at all as I have heard some of the same stories - however I do wonder. They put lots of detailed pictures of the bikes and most seem to have a video of them running. Are people just full of buyer's remorse or maybe there's some expectations that are kinda high of a $2500 - $3000 vintage bike......

If they are screwing over every single buyer how can they still be in business all these years?

. When you pay $3000.00 for a bike one would think the tires would at least hold air.. The bike I bought from them, needed so much stuff we rebuilt it and in that process we find it is a 1979 not a 1978 like I wanted.

I'm an Aussie and know nothing of them but found this interesting as I'm restoring a 90 kx250 myself this being a 91
Well as you can see by the pics this restore or whatever it's meant to be? its shocking! have a look at it dodgy as lol
Regardless of how much they wanted for it (it wasn't what you would call cheap) what business would put their name to this seriously it doesn't even have guides for the front brake line now that's real safe, no spring on rear brake lever one exhaust bracket made from a piece of scrap of the floor, and just bend the 2nd exhaust bracket in so it doesn't stand out as to be missing the mount altogether! lol , tank has been spray painted with out much of a clean by the looks and the list goes on.....

Wow, that KX250 is horrible. Nice hardware store fasteners and krylon on the engine covers.

I'm liking the brush applied paint on the spokes and nipples.......A sure sign of a highend resto job.....how expensive is a new set of spokes ? Sometimes the juice simply isn't worth the squeeze and this outfit would be a prime example of that old adage..

My buddies bought a "race ready" early 80s RM 250 from them. Parts fell off during shopping here to Texas.

My favourite is how they painted the swing arm nut along with the frame.

Yes I seen that if you have a close look the swing arm has been painted along with the motor bolted up to the frame it sure looks that way to me?.. I'd say the swing arm bolt is seized and would be to much work to free up and fix would eat into the profits so who cares just paint around it, is just time consuming masking up between colors but still cheaper and faster than fixing a seized swing arm bolt lol.

Intresting, is that a PC reservoir?

Bump stop is missing in both shocks....

Had to chime in here. TRIED to buy an unrestored 414 Montesa from Jason before he "restored" it. I said I would pay him a decent profit on what he paid for the bike, but no way. He said that, "The guys who are willing to pay big bucks for my restorations really only want them to look at - not to ride." Seriously. I see that the bike is now "finished" and up on their site. BOTH forks are broken at the pinch bolts - and they went ahead and spray-bombed them anyway. All hardware store fasteners, painted spokes - didn't even clean the old flaking paint off the engine before spray bombing it. Welded up a kickstarter from some other bike. Sad, sad, sad. He knows it's rare, so is asking six grand for this mess.

In Aussie we have a similar place on our other coast.
The bike I bought was "ready to race".

I'm one of those OCD type guys that likes to race with the wheels tight. Difficult to do if all the threads are stripped. (Fork, clamps, chain adjusters.)

Also, even when their "restored" bikes do have new tires, the tires are "DNC" brand from, get this, Viet Nam! They weigh a TON - but then, the guys that buy these bikes don't care how they run, they just want them to look at, right?

The only Vietnamese tyre company I know of that makes motorcycle tyres is IRC. They're a reasonably well known brand for moped tyres and I've used them for years. You'll find very few 'brand name' tyres are made where you think they are. A number of Pirelli tyres are made in the Czech Republic. Dunlop tyres are made in India after they shuttered the factory here. Maxxis is the western brand name for Chinese made Cheng Shin tyres, although they have been sold here for 40+ years under the Cheng Shin name anyway.

Actually, I mis-typed. They are "DRC" tires - Da Nang Rubber Company - and they are indeed made in Viet Nam. Heavy as hell.
