The Worst Bike YOU Have Ever Ridden?

My racing buddies 1983 RM125 that thing was slow to start with, and was ratted out by the end of the season.
Problem is I just couldn't keep him in sight all year, the bastard.

One I forgot about, because I didn't own it. Was the yz400f. What a tank and turd. My buddy bought the '98 when it came out. It made decent power, but weighed a ton, and heaven forbid you kill it on the track. Had to do a rain dance before you were going again. Hated that bike.

81 Honda CR 250. I was lured in by Honda "smoke and mirrors".What a dog pile. I should have cked under the logo for a Montesa decal cause that is what it reminded of, but I sold it so fast it didnt matter. Within a hour after selling it i bought a Yamaha 125.

Buddy's 03 yz450f. He got it off a guy here in Elsinore and the dude told it had all these mods but the thing was jankier than all hell and all he did was put new oil in it clean the air filter and put new grips on. Took it to Perris and he wanted me to try it. Scariest bike by far, felt like I was riding a hard tail mountain bike and the power delivery was full out of don't go at all. Thing just didn't want to hook up in any corners and it jumped worse than anything I've ever ridden. The bike straight out of the factory back in 03 was probably awesome. But this one was a straight lake Elsinore tweaker bike that did not belong within a mile of a track.

2002 CR250 Honda...couldnt get me off it fast enough, the forks were sooo bad they could break your wrists. And 2010 Yz450, what a whale and you didnt know how it would react to obstacles

97 CR250, Holy cow that was a pile of shit! Worst bike ever made.

If any other manufacturer produced that bike, they would have been crucified but somehow Honda gets away with shit like that cause they were so great in the 80s.

13 yz450F. Hated that bike. Sold it after 5 months. Only had 10 hours. Could not get it to corner. Climbed out of every rut I entered. Of course I'm light and weak. Bike would ride me after a couple laps. It was wicked fast and suspension was awesome. But wouldn't settle in a rut and the front end pushed.

By far the worst bike I ever owned, and I love Honda's.

The slowest bike I've ever ridden is easily the 98' CR125. My '87 CR125 was night and day better in all aspects! Worst bike I ever raced would be 01' CR250. I was absolutely snake bitten. Ugly crashes and weird injuries, after coming off an awesome 2000 YZ250.

2001 CR125. Holy shit was that thing slow. It was the first 125 I ever owned, so it gave me the impression that 125's were just slow bikes. Years later I ended up riding (and buying) an RM125 and was blown away. I mean, it seriously felt like it had twice the engine of that piece of shit CR.

I can't really say what the worst bike I've ever ridden is, because I'm such a shitty rider, that it doesn't seem fair to put the onus on the bike.

Funny thing is the worst bike I ever rode I wish I still had. '82 yz490 ... I was happy just to be riding, yeah it could've been more fun if it wasn't trying to kill me each time I moved the twisty noisemaker thing in my right hand. That wouldn't have been so much fun in hindsight though. I'd have to say as long as I'm riding somethin I'm a happy ass camper.

Now quit your bitching and go ride something that's too slow or too fast, bad forks, worse shock, rubber framed or stiff as cold steel, at least you're riding.

That bike always looked to be about 12' long. Kind of like driving a semi truck.

This was a really bad motorcycle....all the way around.

I too lived the ordeal of the 1981 CR125R. However it was my first new bike ever, my Dad showed up with it and a 250 when I was 12 and riding the wheels off my Xr75.

I didnt know it sucked. We didnt have internet back then and the magazines were hard to come by and all the content was old news bybthe time we read it.

I learned to love it and sent it off to get Flow Ported. I had great times on that POS. When we got the 1983 models, we felt like Factory Gods, the 1983 Hondas were the best bikes I have ever ridden (in my mind). I skipped from 1983 all the way until 2015 without riding. My 2013 CRF450R is definitely a far superior motorcycle in every aspect but I will never be able to ride it like I rode my 83 125R.

Worst bike I ever owned 1981 CR125R. However, there were some folks atvthe track with some beat down Husky 420's and Maico 490's that looked like they were having a much worse time of it.

I remember a ton of rear fenders pointing straight up and front fenders flopping around, and fouled plugs and smokey, ratty poorly tuned bikes and old dudes in jeans.

They inspired Ronnie Mac.

2003 Cannondale was the worst I ever rode.
At least it wasn't my bike, but one lap was enough. ..

The Beta enduro range, no idea why someone would drop money on something like that.

After being a lurker for years, I guess this is a good first post as one of the few who actually owned one of these things... lol I picked this 2002 C440 earlier this year as a project to turn into an enduro bike. I figured it would probably be OK for light trail use. Fact is, the later one (which this one is) with the re-designed airbox and other updates is actually a pretty decent off-road bike, but I can't imagine how they tried to market it for MX use. It is WAY too heavy for that.

It's funny how preferences vary-My 2002 CR250 was one of two bikes that I wish I never would've sold. Absolutely loved it. Other than bars, a PC pipe/silencer, Vforce reed cage and a Keihin carb swap I didn't do anything to it, and it felt like some of the best stock suspension I ever rode with. I normally sent all my stuff off for revalve etc and never saw the need on that bike.

No, I never rode it. But ya gotta wonder how much of a handful this thing must have been.
