You own a KZ 650 with both kick and electric start, and you have never pushed the button, because your points are always so perfectly adjusted the engine lights at 1/4 of the way through the first kick.

Honda hills had two gates of 125 B riders

Harley had a motocross team

100 class

Auto, 60, Mini junior and Mini senior classes only-not 15 mini bike classes

When you first the saw 81 CR's and thought they were the trickest bikes ever (I was wrong) same thing on the 82 YZ's wrong again

The smell of KLOTZ is sweeter than your wife's perfume...
Your son's bike and gear are tricker than your own...
You still use a trailer to haul your bikes...
A great day of riding might not even involve you actually riding...
You change your " If you don't fall a couple of times each weekend you're not going fast enough" motto to: " A good day is when I don't get hurt"...
You respect Roger DeCoster more than anyone but your Dad...

You remember watching trophy girls get KISSED.
You remember thinking you were cool because you knew what the letters "W.F.O." stood for.
You remember thinking you were cool because you knew what the letters "A.B.H. stood for.
You still see collecting stickers as an art form.
You'd gladly pay 300 bucks for a worn out pair of Carrera 98's.
You know what Carrera 98's ARE.
You remember when Konis became less cool than Bilsteins.
You remember when Bilsteins became less cool than Fox Airs.
You remember when goatskins became less cool than, uhhh, nylons (?)
You remember when half the stuff you wanted you couldn't get even if you had the money, because it was only available in Europe.......and it drove you insane.

To clean them, yeah.

But to set them, you'd need rolling papers

If you were worried about a "cold seize" the first time you lined up on your brandy new 1981 water pumper... because all the magazines said it could happen.

You moved up your shocks.
You kept at least 4 spark plugs in your tool box.
You crushed your down pipe.
You had a giant thick rubber band nearly slap you off your bike when you jumped the start.
You aired out your leather "leathers" because they smelled so bad.
You remember "Elsinores" and why they were called that.
You read Super Hunky's column each month.
Popular Cycling was on your reading list.

Your friend sat on the engine box between the seats in your Econoline van.
There was a new company called FMF.
We knew what the letters FMF meant, but we said it was something else.
EC Birt kept us puttin'.
I owned a Noguchi Yamaha.
We cleaned our air filters with gas and put motor oil on them.
You watched On any Sunday in the theater.
You thought about putting a peace dove on your handlebars.
You knew who put a peace dove on their handlebars.

When next years bikes were water cooled and you thought that was the most high tech thing ever.

When Rock music ruled the tracks.

I'm old: Honda Pro-Link. Kawasaki Uni-Trak, Suzuki Full floater, Yamaha Mono x. Cool stuff but the evolution to MX becoming a rich man's sport
