Colt "Coat" Nichols is a professional Supercross/Motocross rider from Muskogee, Oklahoma. Colt's original plan was to turn pro for the 2014 season, but he was left without a Supercross ride and instead decided to race the AMSOIL Arenacross series. His performance in Arenacross was impressive enough to get him a ride with Crossland Honda for 2015, but he didn't really have a chance to show his Supercross potential as he got injured early in the season. With no ride for the 2016 season, Colt turned to his long time trainer, Robbie Reynard, who got him onto the CycleTrader / Rock River Yamaha team towards the end of the off season. He then went on to be the biggest surprise of the 2016 Supercross season, scoring several top five finishes and his first career podium. He was signed by Star Racing Yamaha for the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons.
