It’s time for a new, “Show Your Pup” thread.

This is Samantha “Sam”, kinda like the Sturgill Simpson song. She’s a Hanging Tree. They are 3/8 Border Collie, 1/4 Kelpie, 1/4 Catahoula, and 1/8 Australian Shepherd.

This is our boy, Cooper…

I know he is/was just an ankle biter/lap pup, and isn’t the stereotypical “manly dog” …

BUT he is/was the best damn lil’ Buddy I have ever had! We got him & his sister at 8 weeks old back in 2014, and he (& his sister!) immediately took to me and it wasn’t long before I had an eight-legged shadow everywhere I went!
His sister is the mature older sibling, and this little mess was the goofy younger brother, always finding a way to provide comic relief at every turn!
He was the warmest, happiest, funnest bundle of loving fur we could have ever hoped for, always up for any adventure and ready with his silly smile and happy tail when you came through the door!

Regrettably… we lost him (just short of ten years old, back in the fall) to the horrible shit-show that cancer is! It started with a small nose bleed, and by the time the Vet got a diagnosis it was already too late! We helped him enjoy the last few weeks he had and he was gone.
We are still reeling over his loss and this place is a little darker, a little less festive than before….   His sister has adapted fairly well but we all miss him desperately and you just never get over the loss of a beloved family pet! 🥹
Even goofy little ankle-biters!

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer with the crummy back story! It was great to get to reminisce about my lil’ buddy and see his sweet face in a memorial post to him!
I truly love dogs of all shapes and sizes and I hope to see a bunch of new pics of the 4-legged creatures that bring us so much happiness & joy! 😎 👍❗️

I feel your pain brother. Losing a good dog is like losing a best friend!

I’d never seen a brindle cow dog before. She gets it from the Catahoula.

I waited a year and a half to get Sam. Took me that long to get over the heart break.

Thanks TM!
He has been gone over 6 months now and we are still mourning & missing him!
He was always a ray of sunshine, even on the dreariest of days!
You just couldn’t hang with Mister Cooper and not be in a good mood! 🤪 👍❗️

Not to derail away from cool pics of our fur friends, but I bet you recognize this view, VL13!? 🤪

My wife & I spend a LOT of time in Angel Fire and really love that place! We stay in the AF Resort-RV park 99% of the time and that 2nd pic is the MOON coming up over the resort!
(That’s my Moto-van & Keystone bumper-pull TT in lower part of first pic!)

Now…BACK TO COOL PUP PICS! 😎 👍❗️

The lady I work for built the RV Resort. Next time, come across the street to the stables and say Hi!

Buddy, AKA Dickey, we got him from the shelter when he was 7, he is now 14. Mini pinscher.  Rules the house!  He is our master, still acts like a puppy though.  He is an asshole but he is our asshole.

Just got this dude about 2 months ago. He is endless energy and super entertaining. Howls at police sirens on tv like he’s talking to his ancestors lmao.

Our aussies

Brown one is Annie, about 9 years old and definitely in charge.

Tri color is Jax. About 7, and he keeps my blood pressure low with his goofy antics.

Has quirks, like if it is just him and we are on the back porch and I am hitting tennis balls, he will not drop it until he has run behind an old recliner.

If the female is there too, he will never drop the ball, he keeps it and runs back and forth with the ball. You can see it in his mouth waiting for me to hit it to her.

He only does that on the back porch.

The big one sleeps wherever my wife is since her stroke. God bless the man who challenges that.

The Kelpie sleeps in my room, he's the alarm.  An alarm who hates stuff.

They're hard to photograph because they think something is happening.

This is Ruby aka Rubes

We adopted her a little over a year ago, I think she is 3 now. From my research she looks like a poodle schnauzer mix. High energy, first dog i’ve been around that tears up her toys. You know if she did it outside because the stuffing is all over the back door mat.
