Wife and I got this ol bugger Rupert before we were married ,he turned 12 in February.  Sadly his toes have seem to get all out whack and looks like it's arthritis, we have him on so.e supplements that seem to be helping . Moat loyal dog I've ever had ,no fence around the yard and he's never once ran away ,even in his glory days of chasing rabbits and squirrels ,you yell his name he would stop and come right back. Lays at the back door til the last family memebers are home for the night ,always on guard .

Here's the moment I rescued this dog. I never had stopped to pick up a stray dog before but this one disturbed me and I just thought to myself,  NO! This dogs suffering ends today either with a bullet to the head or with a lot of care to bring his health back. Most of his fur had fallen out and he had fleas. 22lbs

Here he is healthy and happy at 33lbs, sitting in the passenger seat of my pickup, ready to go somewhere,  probably our afternoon nature walk. Leave a car door open and he would jump in an give you a look like, "we are going somewhere right?" Sadly, he was run over and killed out front of our house a couple years ago but we gave him another 5 years of love an attention and he was fiercely loyal.

Great story with a terrible ending. Arghh, I love that you gave him a great life better than he could have ever dreamed of prior to meeting you. Dogs make our lives so much better. Dogs forever! Fuck people!

If any of you or the wives like dog videos we started a channel for our pups. We got Beau early this year and he had heart worms , a bad case of them, his lungs and heart were compromised, went through months of treatment with that and now he’s cleared to play so it’s green flag racing for him lol

My two favorite ladies!! 

The wife and I have been long time Boxer owners, but Lola is our first Female. She's a hoot. Typical silly/playful Boxer personality, but boy is she a lover. Never shy's away from a chance to love up on us, the kids, or anyone who allows. We were always super strict with our past Boxers not allowing them on couches, beds, etc... With Lola, pffftt...nothing is off limits anymore. She rules the roost so to speak. Ha!

Our sweet perfect boy Big Mac truck has left us. He had a tumor on his spine that caused him to lose feeling in his front legs and neck. It progressed so quickly.   He was my wifes shadow and we are devestated. He has been our only real happiness in awhile and gone too soon. Such a perfect loving soul. Every rottie we have had has been perfect but he was extra special. Life has been brutal.

I'm sorry for your loss.  We lost our Great Dane the same way a little over a year ago.  A fast, aggressive bone cancer.  It sucks.

Ollie is 8 months old now and pretty much taken over the house .

Something happened to me yesterday which solidified my question about our deceased pups that have passed. Yesterday was 3 years exactly to the day that my beloved hound left this world...well I'm at work around 330 am and I come across a piece of paper on the floor. I pick it up and look at it...my dogs name was written on the paper. And my dog had a very unique name that could not have been a coincidence in any shape or form. Best day ever!

New house, new pup. My daughter adopted this little guy from one of her sorority sisters. He's only been with us for 3 days, but he's getting the hang of things. Gonna let him get really solid with the usual commands then train him up to be an MTB trail dog. Meet Arlo:

I lost my last red about a year ago.. Wasn't really that keen to get another dog but then saw Banjo on a rescue site! Red cattledog X (with what I'm not sure haha) He's a little fucken cracker! Super smart and picks up what I want from him almost straight away I gotta keep reminding myself he's 6 only months old!
