Cute pic of Willow.

Our journey to help her with the arthritis in her spine/hips continues.  The past few weeks she hasn't been able to hold it sometimes and she poops on the floor.  Luckily it's solid. Its about anticipating her needs now and unfortunately she does not poop on command. I try to give her an easy walk every day to keep her loosened up and this is also when she feels comfortable relieving herself. Walks are on grass or loose dirt as she tends to drag her rear feet a bit. Pavement scraps the hide off the top of her paws. I tried little booties to protect them but that drastically contributes to her uncoordination.

We are doing the once a month Librella shot and have given her 2 so far. I like to think it is helping.  In addition she gets daily,  glucosamine,  gabapentin and carprofen. We also have pain meds we can give her if she is having a bad day.

We will keep going with her as she still seems happy but I wonder about the upcoming winter.

Try sprinkling 1500mg Ester C over her food every day. Not any vitamin c, has to be Ester C. Brought our old Golden back to life. Went from being in pain every day to wanting to play ball again. Worst case, you spent a bit of $$s, with no improvement, but maybe, you get the results we got.

Thank you, I will look into that.

Mardi Gras is getting big. Catahoulas give the best hugs. If you’ve experienced the Catahoula Lean, you know what I’m talking about.
