I moved to Northern Nevada about 30 years ago and started racing, and that’s where I met Rick and his son, just a classic moto family that would do anything to help a fellow moto brother... and thanks to Vital.. a few years ago, I got to reconnect with Rick.. our properties are about 12 miles apart as the crow flies… we have had a horrific couple of weeks out here with fires. Hey guys, want to come in here and rant and rave about how disappointed I am in you, but I’m not going to do that. Get it, times are tough all over. Imagine though, just for a minute, losing everything you’ve ever had. Rick is a fine human being. One less twelve pack, your parts order waits two weeks, put a crowbar in your wallet and contribute twenty bucks. Some asshole is going to say, “fuck Rick, they’ve already donated $45K”. Again, house burned to the ground with a life’s possessions. C’mon, make me Motodrive proud!

I'm in for a few bucks. I was just wondering a few days ago, not knowing where Rick lived in NV if he got caught in that fire. I always enjoy his wildlife photos and winter time pictures. Hope you can rebuild quickly and keep living the mountain top dream .

Yeah i don't know what the thinking is behind letting a small minority of trolls just go havoc in so many threads. GuyB was too trigger happy and extreme in that sense, but i feel like we've gone too far to the other side.

Such a pity. Hammer 663 is one of the better dudes on Vital and now the shit-show has driven him away. @ML needs to consider a cleanup. There are a bunch of dudes who contribute nothing worthy to the threads, instead, they go out of their way to cause shit amongst members. I've been here since 2008 and this is by far the worst I've seen. The Vital reputation will suffer if this continues in the current direction. My two cents.

Nashville Supercross this year was in Morgan wallens bar and me and my buddy are at the bar buying a drink, my buddy goes why do i recognize that guy thats across the bar from us, I look it and its Jeremy McGrath, Jeremy noticed us talking and looking at him and knew we recognized him and he waved us over and we talked about the race that night. Dude is truly just a huge fan of the sport deal, after that was over I asked if he cared for a pic, was definitely really cool

Honest question... do people consider a rider's nationality when watching a race (outside of MXDN)? It's an interesting observation that all of the riders who are hurt are American, but a rider's home country has no influence whatsoever on who I'm going to root for. Sandman's comment just got me wondering. Would someone cheer for a rider (who they otherwise do not like) just because he's the last American with a chance to win? I certainly wouldn't.
