Great confidence booster, definitely one of the 3 favourites.

Who you say.

Deegan, Vialle or RJ, no one else will go the distance.

I think there could be 5-6 winners over the season but I’d say them 3 are favourites , kitchen could be in the mix  same with shimoda , savacy could be to but not sure about consistently 👍

To win a title in only his second year of racing SX is outstanding.

He rode zero SX before 2023 and won the title in 2024. Very impressive

Congratulations to Vialle! 🎉

Impressive, especially since "Euros can't ride SX!"

BTW, I think both Pichon and Pourcel won 250 SX titles on their first attempts...

Congrats to Tom. It's very unfortunate we didn't get to see him and McAdoo battle it out to the end. But you have to stay healthy

Kind of. Pourcel did 3 races in 2007 and went back to the GP's.

you are of course right.

Ricky, tomac, js7, and dungey never did anything compared to a 2 time MX2 world champ coming to run a national mx championship, and wins one race out of the series, and finishes 8th in standings, and now has won a regional sx title in his second year.

edit:

and my post was not meant as a shot at Vialle. He took a big chance coming to the us to race. He has obviously worked hard to perfect his craft in a specialized branch of the sport and handled being in a high-pressure finale last night very well. He did what he had to do to win the title and is to be congratulated,

that can be done without chest pounding (by you) and acting like he is now superior to the riders you mention. His day may come for that, but it is not today.

Oh and just so you know

FIM World Supercross champions

Ricky Carmicheal 2005

James Stewart 2006, 2007, 2009

Ryan Dungey 2010, 2015. 2016, 2017

Eli Tomac 2020

Very impressive, especially coming back from that first turn pile up at round 1. Theres definitely a possibility he could win outdoors as well and then all of a sudden hes dominating. He has another one of those effortless styles like shimoda, should translate good to 450s in a few years too. Congrats to ktm on finally getting that 250 pound monkey off their back, hopefully this means their 250 program is here to stay now. They were really looking sparse after their two top amateur prospects deegan and bennick bailed to yamaha but threw a hail mary up by bringing vialle over and it worked.

Impressive and congrats to Vialle for scoring a title in his 2nd SX season. He'll be a Top 5 contender in the Outdoor. One of the strong candidates for the title but it's not his riding skills, abilities, race craft that are going to make the difference, it's his ability to learn, adapt and tame the brutal American summers heat and humidity again.

He knows the tracks now, he's had 1 year of AMA Nationals, his physical prep' will make the difference or not. We know Deegs, RJ, Shimoda, Kitchen are physically ready.

I think he'll be top 3 and one of the title favorites.  But he said in year one the AMA 250 class is more difficult than MX2.

I think he's going to be the champ, but it's going to be tough.  I want RJ in 450 this year, but since he's not, he'll be right there too.

A bunch of people in here sure gave him a hard time his 1st year, 2 time world champ and he’s getting beat by everyone. There’s a bunch who should be eating crow today.
