So stoked for the kid. He looked absolutely smoked after the second moto.
yep well deserved......ONYA HUNTA
also happy for RJ!! first podium in 450
Hunter looked more relieved than excited, but it was well deserved.
His stats for his first two outdoor seasons are pretty bloody solid.

Congrats Hunta' !!
It’s no mean feat to win an AMA 450 overall.
A field that includes the current Champion, a world Champion and a few previous Champions, makes it even more impressive. And to do it while second in the points proves it’s no fluke and well deserved!
Proud MX loving Aussies on the Sunshine Coast. The Lawrence Brothers and Charlie Cannon all hail from here!
That beard ain’t it tho.
So stoked for the guy. My favourite dude on the line.
It’s a shame he was seeing the black hole during his interview, would’ve love to hear what he had to say. Props for not passing out haha.
Got to be in it, to win it….
Dang it...just no. Unless Hunter paid someone to stick a broom handle in Chase's spokes there ain't no *. Everybody pays their money and takes their chances. 😉
Super impressive sophomore season by any standard. Big respect. Long time coming for the dude.
Awesome for Hunter and well deserved on a day where his Honda identified as a Toro
Hunter is worthy of an overall. Sometimes they fall in your lap but it is still a win.
It only took his brother getting docked a lap and sexton crashing multiple times, but a wins a win
But I got 3 thumbs up, for what it's worth.😁
I was just stirring the pot for our aussie participants, getting ready for the MXDN.
I agree with you
That bonus cashes the same
Yep, that’s why I said a win is a win
Pit Row
$100k from memory for a national win?
Gotta be in it to win it people.
Good on him!
His signature googles look bloody sweet
This was his 20th 450 MX race.
-15 overall podiums.
-Ten 2nd overalls.
-Tied in points for the win four times, but lost going 1-2.
-Four moto wins in 40 starts with 29 moto podiums.
Did I hear Weeg say he's never finished out of the top 5?
His worst finish is 5th overall, twice.
I don't care what anyone says, fucking impressive.
I think what is so surprising to me is that it took this long with as consistently top 5 as he has been. It seems like a literal statistical anomaly to have not won an overall with the list of moto finishes he has had.
Good for him. Interested to see how he rides now, more confidence??
Yes he's finished in the top 20 in every race of his 450 career so far. He broke the record of 18 in a row to start a career, previously held by Johnny O'Mara, at Washougal. He also had the second most 2nds (10) before earning an overall victory. Chad Reed had 15 2nds before getting his first.
Gongratz to #96 ! Long overdue..
Congrats to Hunta.
Hunter could be the #1 rider on any other factory team, but at HRC Honda...with only occasional situations like this one where he's the last man standing, he'll be in his brothers shadow. But...I don't believe for a second that he'd jump ship from Honda.
How cool is it to get your 1st win without actually winning a race. That's awesome 👌
I don't believe he will be leaving HRC anytime soon. They appear to be the best factory bikes going back to the 22 season. I was recently watching a AC & JB podcast where CS comments that the grass is not always greener on the other side. He talked about how the KTM has been a struggle to dial in the last couple of years.
