How about some props to Chance Hymas for setting qualifying time of 2:13 2 seconds quicker than 2nd best time, Ist moto charge to lead that was EPIC!! getting up from what seemed to be a season ending crash and lining up for moto 2, DUDE!!! Your a BEAST!! Levi showed him some love on the podium early in interview, good on you Levi! Any word on the day after? Sure looked like from replay that he was knocked out.

He wasn’t knocked out. He had a 220lb motorcycle laying on top of him, and a red hot exhaust header searing his helmet.

He had the wind knocked out of him. Lars said it in the interview between motos. Kinda hard to lift a bike off yourself when you can’t breathe.

I thought he was knocked out too because the guy was holding his bike up off of him it appeared and he still laid there motionless in the exact same position as when the bike was on him, then the camera cut back to the race.

And, the top 4 fastest laps in the first 250 moto, were the fastest of all 4 motos.

My typing has been just fine, so far, no words without spaces or anything else. Is it iphone only it’s fine for? I don’t have issues on my lenovo ideapad laptop either.

Man, he was absolutely flying. He was definitely on another level.

What do you think caused his crash? Was it rider error/came in too hot, or could it have been avoided with a better bike setup? I thought it was strange how the backend suddenly kicked sideways like that.

Sometimes guys just push too hard and the bike says uncle, off the top of my head I've seen a version of that crash three times.  His, tomac in 15', and tortelli in 99' or 2000.

It's only riding over your head until you crash, then it's hero to zero and everyone's a critic 😝. Hope he's not too sore and100% for Bud's Creek that was fun to watch.

Lots of wrecks in that spot over the years. His first time there. You do the math.

Did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in again?

Point of discussion from a rather friendly perspective:

Would you say he was riding  bit “too risky” as he pushed it to the very edge of the track and cross rutted and went down…hard…?

The point: He seemed to be on point with form and endurance. He didn’t seem to be hanging it out from a skill and talent perspective…I felt like he got caught in the wrong line at the wrong time…

Thoughts?

I’ve been knocked out before. Also witnessed plenty of others get knocked out. 2:18ish laps. Chance was shown on the broadcast sitting on his bike again after a little over 1 full lap. We usually aren’t sitting back on the bike within a few minutes after getting knocked out. Deductive reasoning?

I didn't see him riding over his head.   The rut he took down the hill had been chewed down to the base...exposing a kicker.   Probably wasn't that deep on the previous lap.  Just one of those unlucky things that happens.   Hate to see it...he was in the zone.

Yep, fastest guy we could send right now, kawi won't support it and deegan is getting stuff removed, which is a valid reason not to go. Hope he can heal up and be able to preform on the world stage for America.

It didnt look like he was riding over his head to me. Looked more like the bike decided to slam him on the ground. Not a TTF chase moment but close.

Gotta risk it for the biscuit. All of these guys are riding somewhat over their head, they’re competitors. It’s what they do.
