Masters of Mini has over $30K in contingency up for grabs between Piranha, YCF, and Pitster Pro.

IDK about safer LOL. All the pitbike races i have participated in seem to lead to more injuries than big bike races. The consequences and type of injuries are smaller, but i think people get pretty rowdy during these races.

Way better than a KLX and new. I'm to cheap to buy one of those higher end pitbikes, but I've ridden them. They're badass little bikes.

Making a comeback? Must be a regional thing. It’s still dead here.

What's the quality of those bikes like? Piranha, pitster, etc. I assumed you have to build one for it to be able to take any abuse, is that just old rumors?

A wise man once said to me, "the smaller the wheel, the more dangerous it is". The oldtimers were talking about a pit bike class one time. I have a TTR110 with a clutch kit, bbr fat boy springs, and gytr pipe. The first time I got my foot ripped off the pegs I was over it. Laughing I'm out but have fun !

For some reason, Texas tracks has never really supported pitbikes. I wish they did. I really love stock KLX with springs and bars.

They are actually making a comeback in sweden also, but its only one class, so 50-190cc 10-14” all together.
My crf50 with 10” wheels has jack shit against full modded BBR bikes haha

This is like a dream come true for me! I raced and rode bmx which led me getting into the pit bike scene and eventually got me into moto. Once pit bikes kinda faded away I tried to keep it going with my friends but they eventually lost interest too. Riding alone isn’t fun so I sold mine. I’ve always missed so I’m glad it’s starting to come back.

There’s quite a few of us in the DFW area, and Waco. We all ride maddog bikes (the bigger Pitbikes like klx140, ttr125, crf150f, etc). 2 weeks ago at Burleson MX, we had 15 riders in the pitbike class.

The economy is up so folks have cash to burn.

When the economy tanks again so will the pit Nike scene.

And unfortunately the few tracks that did, made the pitbike tracks too small. No one cared to ride them more than once or twice.

I’m up here in Oregon. It genuinely seems like a comeback is on the rise. I see a lot of my moto friends picking them up and even a lot of people who never rode are buying them. I’ve been a advocate of pit bikes since I could even ride. I would almost rather ride pit bikes than big bikes. Safer, somewhat cheaper...

Cheaper bikes, can build a track in your yard, easier for non riding buddies to get into. I see why it's coming back.

Scott Manchester is actually in the video I posted above, he got the holeshot that night and led for a couple laps until he stalled in a corner and lost a few positions before getting re-fired. He goes pretty good on a mini bike!

Yeah I was going to say the worst injury I've had was riding a stupid 50. They just give you the illusion of being safer.

I put a Piranha 140cc motor with Mikuni VM26 carb in a XR70.... fun little bike, but honestly, without a longer swing arm and big boy suspension, it's almost too twitchy to really enjoy. Seems like the nicer complete Chinese pit bikes like what the OP posted have come a long way... Guess with anything, you get what you pay for. All I know is, legit suspension for my XR70 (done right) is NOT cheap (go figure)

If there were racing and a scene here in Utah I'd pick one up tomorrow. They are so dang fun. I rode the heck out of my modded 50 back in early/mid 2000's.
