How many of you guys struggle with going to MX or jet ski or waterski or boating during the summer?

I do a lot! I've had the bikes loaded to go to the races the day before only to wake up Saturday or Sunday morning and say forget it, I'm going boating and waterskiing and having a few beers where the bikinis are!

Packed up the mx a few years ago after one to many injuries and no local tracks. Got an SXR800 and never looked back, physical and challenging as MX without the hard ground to break bones.

Like today when I get back to the car (from going to the river) and the car thermometer says 110 degrees? Yeah.

At age 55, me and Florida summers don't get along too well. I barely ride this time of year. Move here and ride in July at 1:00 p.m. You'll see what I mean.

Yup, I have a hard time in the summer. I don't know how these guys race 12 outdoor rounds and train all summer long. Hell, I got tired as a sumbitch just watching at Washougal yesterday.

We rode today since it was a friend's birthday, otherwise I mostly stick to golf and Wednesday night practices where it's at least a little cooler. I relate to this big time. When I do ride I don't feel like I ride very well, either.

I live right on a lake and don't own a jet ski. I've rode a few and have had a blast on them but this lake is so nasty I have no desire to even boat on it lol

I sold the jet ski----too many drunk kooks in the harbor and sharks too close to shore.
Today? I rode (Jandebeurs MX Park)----and had an excellent time while visiting Oklahoma.

I have a boat & a waverunner that gets ran every weekend throughout the summer. I try one night a week to ride my ktm. But water toys take top priority for the summer months.

Easy choice for me when it's 115 out! Laughing

Although its been known to get "Nippy" at the back beach....Evil

I must admit I have never had my bike loaded to race and changed my mind.

The only time I came close to that was early one morning and the first corner I left out of my neighborhood my bike fell off the trailer.... LoL

Figured it might be a bad omen but I went anyway and tried to be extra careful out on the track....Cheerful

Hahahah, I was just having this talk with my wife. I think it is time to sell my 450 (keep my 300) and put it towards a boat. With a new family the next 4-6 years might be better spent in a boat.

Those sit-down boats, you may as well go riding your dirt bike. You can go the whole day without touching the water.

Down in Miami, its super hot and we have to drive 3 hours to ride anywhere decent. I will usually ride right up until Memorial Day. I might get in 1-2 rides until Labor Day.

We boat and ride year round down here, but during the summer, its more boating, during the Fall/Winter its more riding.

Opposite for us. I almost didn;'t get my boat out this year but then both boys got hurt so no moto for at least another month. Dug the old girl outta the shed over the weekend--

Usually try to ride x2 a month in the summer, can't deal with the 100 degree days. Last weekend I drank 3 gallons of water and didn't pee once. At that point it's not really even fun anymore, just trying to not cramp up and not pass out lol.
