Mudders suck but lord knows that part of the world could use some moisture!

Hopefully it’s headed this way!

For sure the whole area is bone dry. Track was pretty dry yesterday for Am day. It might just turn out perfect for Saturday. I’d cancel Am day today to save it.

Don't want to see a total mudder... but I hope that area gets a good, nice, long, steady rain.

It’s gonna come around awesome. Sun is coming out and today will be primo. Bet it’s dry by tomorrow again. Man we had a hell of a lightning show last night. It was hitting all around the area.

It rained, but not much. The dirt is so dry it would take multiple inches to turn it into a mudder. Probably won't be able to tell it ever rained by the end of the day.

I am 1.5 hours to the south of Hangtown, and it just rained for the first time in 6 months.

The rain lasted 3 minutes, and the sidewalks are already dry again.

I like that in a matter of an hour and a half, you went from “Mudder!” to “It’s gonna be awesome!” Grinning

The lightning, thunder, and pouring rain woke me up 4 or 5 times last night. Laying in the trailer at 0530 listening to it just pounding on the roof reminded me of other times and tracks where the next day was unrideable. (Here and Washougal both in recent years). It’s sloppy this morning for sure. But it was soooooo dry here the dirt is just sucking it up. Amazing what a couple hours of sunshine and wind can do!

The problem with the Cali dirt is that it can rain for 2 days and the water only penetrates a few inches into the soil.

I've watched someone rip deep with 6 inches of a crust being moist but right under it bone dry.

Yup, it was loud last night. Glad we got some water this year with the lightning.

Boys just did their moto 1 (race 4 of 16) and it is slick and tough. Rained during the moto, not what the track needed.

Billy said the speaker tower took a direct lightning strike last night and blew it out. They are scrambling to get a PA system working.

Not like California can't use some rain.

I really wish some of that rain and lightning would make it's was down to SoCal. It's been a dry and shitty hot year so far.

Why does nearly every one of these "its gonna be a mudder!!" threads turn out with me watching a dusty track on tv that weekend?

This one will too. They are watering now. It’s 90 and sunny and the track is back to Hangtown hardback.
