WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Tixier 23 pts down with one to go...
9/13/2014 3:40am I think he can do it. I broke a femur in '77, it didn't heal right, they cut the bones apart in '78, stretched the leg back out over 3 weeks time, inserted a rod and I walked out of the hospital. With the exception of a bone infection, I was good to go after 8 weeks if my memory...

WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to It's official (TP199)
9/13/2014 3:25am What would really be cool is if TP used the Straight Rhythm race to announce his intention to race the SX series this year...
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to PR: MotoConcepts Racing: Mike Alessi 2015 Report
9/9/2014 3:33am If there was increased attendence in Canada, I doubt it was to see Mike's epic rides. It was probably more in the hope that they woul see Mike having an epic fail.
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to KR KTM rift
9/1/2014 10:12am How many teams could afford a Dungey and a Roczen at the same time? Especially when Roczen had a great year and his contract was up?
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Rare or ununsual bikes you've ridden or owned?
9/1/2014 4:18am I had one of those Rickmans, had a Zundapp engine. I won my first race on it but it was really pretty slow and the shifting was incredibly bad. It was easy to find neutral, there was one between every gear. But it was a beautiful bike and very reliable and fun to ride. Rode it almost every day. The...
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to 40 year old mxer's?
8/24/2014 1:13pm For me, it's a matter of riding real safe. A big crash for me, at 59, is the end of the road for riding at all - by the time I get healed up, I won't ride any more and that's that. It's hard to ride at all when you can't afford any kind of crash (other than a simple...
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to 2015 Numbers?
8/24/2014 1:28am There must be a way to change a career number - Stewart changed from 259 to 7.And I think DV changed from 934 to 12 at some point. I personally like champs with single digit numbers - it makes a statement about their stature in the sport.
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to 40 year old mxer's?
8/23/2014 5:23pm I'm 59 and still ride but don't race any more. I have a blast riding with my 21 year old son. Greatest family time we ever had.
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to So Stewart....this is it? This is the end?
8/20/2014 1:33am He probably didn't think he needed a TUE. He'd been tested before and no problem. I'm in a DOT covered industry and I get tested, and I occasionally have to take pain meds and muscle relaxers (for a neck disc issue) that show up as opiates, and I don't pre-inform the testing people because I never come up positive. I...
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Gutted
8/18/2014 2:05am Roczen has gotten it done more often thatn Dungey, so he's winning the championship. That's the beauty of motocross - it's simple. The gate drops 24 times and the best man wins. There's nothing to be gutted over.
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Dear James Stewart...
8/16/2014 2:21am Well said by the OP. My highest hope for James Stewart is that, when he leaves the sport, he does so on his own two feet and not on a backboard. If he thinks he can no longer ride the way he needs to, it's time to hang it up and write his memoirs (which would be a great book).
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Tony Stewart, MX COMPARISON
8/12/2014 2:53am C'mon, give it a rest everyone. Leave all the bickering for a less important subject, like a rider who tests positive for Adderall. Someone died here. Someone else has to live with the fact that he had a hand in that. If that's not a subject that implies a certain amount of rhetorical restraint, I don't know what does.
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Tony Stewart, MX COMPARISON
8/11/2014 1:58am Lots of things obviously happened to create a tragedy. Ward shouldn't have gotten out of the car until the safety crew arrived. Having gotten out of the car, he definitely should have yelled from the wall area, not approached the racing line. Having approached, he should have definitely kept a reasonable distance. Stewart may have been looking at the car...
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Factory Honda to KYB?
8/10/2014 1:16am I remember the angst when Ake Jonsson put Maico forks on his Yamaha. Showa to KYB is nothing.
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Chad Reed
8/10/2014 1:05am Good grief, it's an underprotector. I don't really like to wear one myself because it makes me feel like I gained 30 lbs. It's not an image thing, it just bothers me. But it bothers me less than riding around behind a bunch of 450s on a track with lots of hard dirt clods. Imagine riding behind a bunch of...
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to USA guy to gp's, will you watch?
8/9/2014 12:58am After I saw the Paulin and Cairoli GoPros from last week, I might start watching whether an American is there or not. Those guys were hauling the mail.
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to So....who's racing the Yoshi / Suzuki 450 in 2015 SX?
8/9/2014 12:54am I second this.
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Paulin Go Pro Lommel Moto 1 haul & the quad
8/7/2014 1:20pm What if Villo goes to Europe and doesn't win? Those guys are FAST!
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to Alessi 2015
8/4/2014 3:05am If I was advising him, which I'm obviously not, I'd suggest that he cut his professional ties with his father, and do outdoors only in the US as a privateer if he can't get a ride. Just one year, and see how things go. What does he have to lose? Whether Tony is the source of his issues or not...
WhiteKnuckleV2.1 Added a reply to 13yr old passed away today in Tx
8/4/2014 2:58am That's beyond heartbreak. I don't know the circumstance and I don't care. I'm only interested in expressing that, in some tiny measure, we grieve with that family. I also grieve with whoever landed on him. He may have made a mistake, or it may have been a random accident, but either way it's a day he'll never get over.
