Realize this is coming one one of this boards biggest Chad Reed fans. Anyone else notice when he came off the track in moto 1, he's already on the late summer/fall break RC program. But I have no doubt he'll be down to fighting weight at A!.

Noticed that too. Dont blame him, he was injured, has back issues and overall hasnt been able to train hard recently

He just had another kid, has an injury or whatever. He's just riding on the weekends probably. No big deal.

Chads sponsorship contracts must include him racing every race and not a substitute rider otherwise he could let Byrne ride out the series and then he can sit out if he's not well. Last two outdoor campaigns have been rough on him.

really sucks that reedy has to line up when he shouldn't..................hope that he can find the right guy to put on the team to keep sponsors happy and checks coming....................time to walk away while he can.................3 kids.............lots of personal cash on the line................hope ego don't get in the way of reality................

It's entirely possible - get the right Milo to Milk ratio, and throw in the Ice Cream, and I think more than 20lbs is possible.

As a community service, I shall now devote the next couple of weeks, to research..............................

I didn't mean to start a Reed bashing thread. No matter what he had under his jersey he is carrying some extra pounds, he's obviously over it. That's fine, he'll be ready at A1.

Good grief, it's an underprotector. I don't really like to wear one myself because it makes me feel like I gained 30 lbs. It's not an image thing, it just bothers me. But it bothers me less than riding around behind a bunch of 450s on a track with lots of hard dirt clods. Imagine riding behind a bunch of 450s ridden by the best guys in the world - at Unadilla. Without a hard-case underprotector, that's cruel and inhuman punishment.

Chad Reed is, by no standard of measure, "fat".

My golly gosh,

Although be it coming from a 22 fan, Historically we always see Reed stop fighting once the title fight is over. Year after year everyone has a tantrum and whines about CR doing badly.

No he has just stopped fighting for the title, doesn't put in the same effort. rides sure, but train and ride like he should for a title? no.

How can't u guys pick up on that yet? When its time to buckle down again for SX, you can be certain Reed will be ready. It's how he has run his program for years....

He is far from fat....I was walking through the pits on Friday at muddy creek and honestly did not recognize him. He looked closer to a scrawny teenager than a Ricky Carmichael if you ask me.

He´s gained some weight lately.. maybe focus been more on family than racing and getting new things ready for 2015 like tires, suspension (KYB/Öhlins?) and so on. He didnt talk anything about racing on interview just family and babys...
He will do 2 years SX and then retire.

Seriously? Dumbgeon please. What a joke. Guy runs his own race team (awesome for the sport and took huge balls to do), just came off another surgery, just had his 3rd child, and has had to fight from behind all year long and now he is being called for "looking" fat because of a picture? I saw him in the pits at Millville, and uh, no, he didn't appear to be carrying the kind of weight that most probably are in this forum. As implicate order suggested above-post your pics in your undies and let's see how you stack up against Reedy.
