SX has - Air conditioning (at most, but cooler time of the year, regardless). Fixed seats. Indoor bathrooms. 3 hour show. plus other characteristics that make it appealing to the non-moto crowd. Non-moto folk + moto folk > moto folk

I don't think you're wrong - I believe Yamaha didn't go to a 5-speed again until the redesign in '06.
