I’m not surprised. I really like Denny but he’s mouthy and that can get you in big trouble.

You have a bad compression tester. The tester is what holds the pressure during a test. Remember as you are kicking or cycling the engine it loses compression when it opens any of the ports. Your tester has a leak internally.

Definitely seems weird it’s coming out the top lol but is your gas tank venting? Does it flow with the cap off?

Cheap syringe used for like animals for oral medication. With some fuel hose on the end. And you reverse bleed. Inject from the slave cylinder bleed hole up into the master cylinder. I use two syringes for this one for putting the fluid in the other for sucking out the excess from the master cylinder to keep it from making a mess.

This is tough to say without seeing your real situation, but I bet you could easily get it a lot better maybe not perfect but better than 1/2”. Hopefully you have a truing stand, if it were me personally I would pull the tire off and basically loosen all the spokes and make sure they aren’t giving you a false...

As far as I know, longer or smaller diameter will create more torque/low end power due to the scavenging effect (think of siphoning water through a hose) helps pull more air through the cylinder. And a shorter or large diameter will help with top end, think you have such high rpm’s and so much air moving, a small exhaust will...

Does the '23 350 header fit the 250? That big section is further forward on a 350 than a 250 right? If anything I think the 250 needs help down low.

Forgot to update the situation, maybe it will help someone in the future. Took the bike to a mechanic after running out of ideas. He agreed all was assembled correctly and in spec, disassembled and reassembled, same condition. Gave him the oem piston I took out as a last ditch effort, issue resolved. Ordered new oem piston, bike runs flawlessly. Part number engraved on top of wiseco checks out as stock compression for 2010 YZ450. Piston was sent back to wiseco for inspection, no updates yet.

Maybe a dumb question but when you put the center gasket in did you perfectly shave off the connecting pieces of gasket at the base of the cylinder and the intake where the reeds go?

Ooof that sucks, is it actually constantly blinking or is it giving a diagnostic code? Is there a pattern to it? Idk about removing it, you would probably still have the underlying issue just wouldn’t see the light lol

This is a complete guess but i would imagine that it’s kawis version of traction control by just putting it in launch mode for the hard pack slick track, the launch control will always turn off in 3rd gear which is normal

Update: it was the fuel pump.. it is in fact not supposed to be doing the things I talked about above, after tearing it apart there was a torn o-ring on the output side of the pump in the tank, causing it to lose the pressure

They are supposed to come right out, but it is a tight machined fit. I would assume they are just slightly wedged could try tapping with a mallet or somethin soft not to avoid scratching and try to get it freed up. They have a taper that seats them into the upper holes so make sure you aren’t lifting up...

Hey, just a little update, I figured out what happened. The case got warped and the Kickstarter was sticking on that. Thanks for the advice.

If it’s moving up all the way freely, and just not staying in gear you probably got somethin goin on with your “shift star” (idk proper term lol) it bolts on to the shift drum and there’s a spring loaded wheel that holds it at each location 1st, 2nd, etc I’d check and make sure nothing is going wrong there...

If you can verify it’s actually going into all the gears tomorrow you got me pretty convinced everything is correct inside. That leads me to next question what does it do when you try to shift up? The shifter doesn’t go up high enough to grab the gear or is it smoothly going up all the way but nothing happens...
No that oil is probably fine, i guess I would verify for sure that it actually is going in to 4th and 5th gear with the engine off, and not just giving you some false click making you think you shifted up. (Could throw it on a center stand or something and turn it over in each gear [pull spark...

The spark plug shouldn’t play a role on the kickstarter, I would guess the spring came out of one the holes, there’s one on the shaft and on on the engine case.. if both of those are in I would next guess the spring isn’t wound enough and need to turn it back to get more spring force.. if your...
