weland28 Added a reply to 2009 KX250F Intake Valves Hitting Piston

Bike run good before? And yea valve clearance would be first thing I’d check, as if you set it with it out of time, it could be way off. Also when the piston was hitting the valves you were being gentle right? If you hit it hard it could have easily bent a valve and one could not be seating...

weland28 Added a reply to YZ 65 set up help.

Top ends I’m not really sure on a 65 on my 125 I do one about every 20-30 hours or each winter as a 2 stroke top end is pretty cheap. I don’t think you should need a compression tester as problems on 2 strokes are usually somewhat obvious and easy to fix. I always run 32:1 and I use...

Can be used or new but needs to be in working condition. Doesn’t have to have valves or cams but will buy if you have them.

Looking for a decent machine shop that will do valve seats for dirt bike heads. I already know of fast heads but they’re over a month out I would like to get mine in sooner if possible.

When you tried a new coil did you also try a new plug wire? The fact it shocked you makes me thing the magneto is working correctly and energizing the coil but not finding a path to ground. Otherwise make sure where your coil mounts to drone is clean of paint and not corroded, same with any other electrical connections...

weland28 Started a new thread Jb weld as magneto/flywheel/stator insulation?

5/18/2020 3:05pm
I’m working on 2004 yz250f and some of the..¿epoxy? ..insulating the wire connections on the stator have broke off (pictures below) I’m wondering how critical this is to re-insulate, also if jb weld will work to do it. Jb weld website says that it is non conductive and is good for up to 500°F. Should I be worried about the...

Bowers kind of annoyed me after he called out A-Ray on the PulpMX show calling him sketchy and saying he was afraid to be on the track at the same time as him. It just reminded of high school crap. A couple of people have made jokes about A-Ray and then Bowers had to be the guy to try and make him feel stupid and small, live on the show. Ironically, I bet most of the factory riders think the same about Bowers, especially after this past weekend, yet most of them have too much class to say so. I...

Depending on how long they were seeping you’ll probably be fine to ride it. A little oil can make a big mess so you probably haven’t lost as much as you think. If you notice a big change in the way your forks feel or act then i would take them off and check the level

weland28 Started a new thread 2017 fc450 wiring issue

4/13/2019 1:38pm
Was wondering if anybody had a wiring diagram or shop manual information to help me out. Currently my map switch stays lit when bike is off I’ve been trying to chase wires and checking connectors but I’m not sure what they all are. I’m trying to avoid cutting open my whole harness just to keep it looking clean. So far...

Honestly if your a new rider your not going to notice much of a difference with your clickers. I would just go all the way each direction find out how many clicks it has and go in the middle. Get used to the bike a little before trying to make adjustments so you actually know what your feeling and what...

Not a technique but if your changing tires on the ground, do yourself a favor, get an empty 35 gallon oil drum. Holds wheel perfect, saves your back, and serves as a good shop trash can.
