I didn’t think Deegz was gonna win, this was good for him. Him running with Jett and being up there will show him what he needs to work on, and his self confidence and work ethic will help catapult him to the front. RC didn’t have James speed at the world SX races in Canada at the end of ‘05, and then RC went to work and found more speed to compete with James in ‘06.

How did RC and stew do in their first outdoors 450 race? there ya go. Needs to work on his starts this week. I see a podium soon.

Not a Deegs fan. But not a bad way to start your 450 career. 4th place, did not get injured, bad starts, working through the field. Passed everyone he was supposed to. I hate to say it but he will win this year. A moto, maybe several, possibly an overall.

I’m not really a fan of his, but I think he had a debut to be proud of. I’ve never ridden a 450, but I think he’s going need to smooth out his riding style in order to be a multi-time champion in the class. He’ll improve a lot over the coming months, but I’m not sure how close it’ll put him to the elite, established guys. Deegan is elite, but not established. Totally legit addition to the top 5 in the 450 class. Just a handful of riders to REALLY focus on. …I still don’t like him, lol!

Great racing, Hunter deserved the win, Jorge looks like a World Champion again, limping Jett is still impressive, Chase showed heart, and Deegan made a great impression for his first 450 national. Sucks for ET, Garrett and Mookie. Glad to see green on the top step in 250's but it looks like Levi's to lose (but the season has just begun).

And he passed Ferrandis and Barcia without a "welcome to the 450 class."

Looks like the extremists were wrong, Deegs didn’t win by 45 seconds and also didn’t struggle to beat RJ for 7th.

Dude it’s the guy’s first 450 race. I don’t like him, but both are going to improve like it or not.

Jett was about 4-6 positions better each moto. Moto 1 Deegan was 20th after 1st turn and Jett was 14th. 2nd moto Jett was 10th and Deegan 15th But that wasnt my point at all and I didnt even mention Jett. The point is he HAS the pace of those guys. Clearly.
