"Let the results speak for you" I'm pretty sure that other people are continuing it and not Haiden Deegan. I am also certain that Deegan's results are indeed speaking for him. Wasn't it Stew that made the reference ?

Nobody has. Apparently thanking God is enough to cause some viewers to go into meltdown mode. Sad.

Pretty cool to watch how quickly he's adapted to the big boys. I don't follow any of the social media junk, but the kid seems pretty humble in interviews. I hope as he grows in successes, it doesn't go to his head and he becomes cocky. I hate that.

How can you not be impressed. Not awe inspiring speed like from some past young phenoms, but solid, respectable, future champion type base.

I was at the race and spent a good amount of the main watching him. His line selection was great and his ability to navigate the rhythm sections was pretty solid. For a second, Martin made a little time on him, and then he put his head down and pulled back out pretty easily. I was really impressed with that kid.

I admit, I was a doubter, but he seems level headed and keeps saying he’s just here to learn which appears to be true. He also communicates and speaks way better than about 90% of the riders much older. Even though he did use “sick” about 6 times in his podium speech. But that’s just the “boomer” in me I suppose. I like that it is all natural and not some rant about his sponsors and religious beliefs.

The kid is the real deal for sure. Still a kid , and I think once that man strength sets in , he'll be a title threat. He has some grit with the way he rides , and for a 16yr old , his race awareness is really good for his age.

His corner speed is faster than I expected it to be and he isn't crashing either, which I expected from him. I'm not on board with the whole generational talent BS some talking heads keep pimping. But he's definitely earning respect the right way by going fast on the track. I could definitely see a 250F championship in his future.

Uhm The kid is so young let him develop. 3 years at least. He’s the real deal, Jett’s gotten 4 seasons to develop. Deegan deserves the same.

I'm just wondering when he wins a Supercross race. Is he going to ghost ride his bike off the finish line jump?

So 45 years of Supercross, thousands of rookies over that time and 20-25 have podiumed in their first year. I would call that rare. But hey don't listen to me I just do numbers for a living.

So if that's the list of people who did it faster, even if you add in the guys who did it 4-6 races in, it's still pretty rare? I mean the list of people who haven't done that are every other racer ever?

I think the hate stems from his Dad's rep with the Metal Mulisha era. I for one have never been a fan of that flatbill group but Hayden is actually a pretty chill kid. He used to practice at a track my son rode at and he.., along with Brian, were super cool with all the kids continuously coming up to their pit area. I hope he continues to figure out the Pro racing series and takes it to the next level along with the other fast young guns coming out of the amateur ranks.
