I know some of the drivers. According to them, it’s legit (and quite painful). I talked to Jeremy after he raced and he told me he’s one and done. He told me he was literally counting down how many times he had left to jump that night because every landing was so painful.

No doubt - if you look at the simple economics of mobilization of race teams back and forth - How can it make sense? Yes I agree with you it would make sense for AX to be a stepping stone into SX. However, It doesn't make sense for Supercross to run an AX series as it would be a lot of work and cost and not bring in much money. It doesn't make sense for an AX promoter to pay Supercross for rights and branding when it doesn't bring much if any return to their series. On the flip side, I see value in WSX trying to be a sports league because there are areas like this where improvements could be made to have...

Seems like the “facilities “ are just producing too many “good” kids for the amount of rides available. If these kids funneled through AX it would create opportunities?

Seems like the market has changed and there are too many riders and not enough seats. Seems like you could do away with privateers in the night show and come up through the ranks of. AX. Less pressure on the SX tracks from qualifying etc.. Basically field an entire line at night with top notch talent. The privateers could make...

I’ve always wondered why Arenacross isn’t the entry level into stadium (SX) style racing? Basically learn the basics and then be pulled up once you demonstrate your abilities in a stadium environment.

I hate it for SoCal as I lived in HB in the 90s and loved it but economics are economics. Running any kind of business in Ca is incredibly difficult - I know first hand as the Co I work for is based out of the Port of LA. Our industry has some huge CARB challenges between now and 2035.

I’d wager that the dirtbike industry will be so small in CA by then it won’t really matter. Most of the hardcore SoCal pioneer 1st Gen shops will sell or be forced to sell and they will be relocated back East or Texas. A Lot easier to mobilize a team out of Dallas than Ca. It’s just a matter of...

I might be able to answer part of this because we've attempted GNCC and other off-road coverage in the past. It just straight up doesn't get the eyeballs on it that SX/MX coverage does. Even though the majority of people that visit this website race off-road more than moto for their personal preferences, they don't care to watch it or digest it in such a committed way. I have a theory for this. 99.999% of us here will never ride a Supercross track, SX is a spectacle and the only thing you can really do is watch it, talk about...

I race KTMs off road (currently on a 22 250xcf) and honestly all I do is keep up with basic maintenance. I think I’m around 150 hrs on the original clutch and topend.
