I did my top end at 55 hours. I probably could have gone a bit longer. At 70, I would get it changed. These pistons have very short skirts, and if you wait too long you are going to use up cylinder plating life faster, requiring a replace sooner.
California is really 7 different distinct regions: -Central Valley from Bakersfield to Redding -SoCal -High Dez -Central Coast -Bay Area -Sierras / Mountains - Northern CA Coast and Coast Range There is more variance in culture and attitudes than probably any other state.

It is not 2005 any more. There is no longer that kind of money in the sport. Sometimes I think the Stewarts do not recognize how much the landscape, business wise, has changed. Look at Gecico pulling out now. Unless Mookie is willing to walk from Seven, this could be a grievous career mistake. He should have put in another...

The technique is basically the opposite of seat bouncing. The idea is that at the instant you leave the jump, you want the trajectory of your body to be as horizontal as possible. The CofM path of the bike and rider together is the weighted vector addition of each of their paths. So you manipulate your body to create a...

Anyone who has a Kawi knows how crazy hot they run. I off road mine sometimes, so I have a fan, a high pressure cap, and run water (with wetter) which is the BEST coolant...and the thing still scares me with how hot it runs. If I knew it was a mud race, I would put in thicker oil so...

THIS. Tomac especially. Watch some of his rides at Southwick. He rails those outside lines so far back on the bike, but he is hovering just above the seat. Your average rider could not even do that (physically) at half that speed for 1 corner.

Sorry but this is just nonsense. Everyone's anatomy is different. What works for one person might do NOTHING for another. Personally, I find that the biggest factor in a knee brace working are lockout before full extension and an anti-rotation strap to the boot. NO ONE's knee is a strong (no matter how much exercise you do) as it is...

original
There is something tragic, yet glorious about giving it your all, coming so far, and then having it all ripped away from you by chance. Weston was always a true warrior. He earned it all, by simply outworking and out fighting everyone else. Life is not fair.

Wow. That is so scary. I literally just got done with a road ride...and saw this. Get well MA800. And go buy some lottery tickets while you are healing up. When people get clipped by cars going 70 mph, 95% of the time it ends differently. I guess I am fortunate in that I live in CA, and people are...

The finger follower valve train is just noisy, but it is a good engine. Don't stress. Every new motor I have ever had has shown metal debris after the first oil change. It is at reliable as a current Yamaha? Probably not. But I guarantee it is more reliable that motors that 10 years ago you considered "bullet-proof". All the...

If by "bs" you mean messing with Dungy while doing everything to avoid actually crashing him out. If Tomac was dirty, Dunge would have been on the ground.

Breaking this bone can mean a lot of things. If you break it one way and disrupt circulation, surgery is a must. Break it a different way, and no surgery required. The good thing is this is a super common fracture. Any experienced hand and wrist surgeon has a ton of experience with this fracture. I am lucky. Fractured my...

1. Correct springs for your weight 2. Correct sag 3. Reasonable fork height 4. Get your rebound bracketed first. You can not even start to dial in compression till your rebound is in the correct range.

50 hours on mine. Just did an upper end. Valve clearances were in spec. Everything else looked perfect. I have a full machine shop and Sunnen bore gauges and masters, so I was able to inspect the cylinder in detail. It was +.0002" / -.0000" on bore. It was near perfect side to side, and high in the cylinder. The...

#1. The best PRACTICE technique and the best RIDING technique are NOT always the same. For people that learn to ride with their leg up from day 1, it results in your automatic reflex reactions becoming incorrectly trained. You teach yourself THE WRONG TECHNIQUE to catch yourself when you lose grip and start to low side. If you force yourself...
Sounds like you want some sort of personal revenge. Just let it go. No good will come of that. Just focus on how fortunate you are. I had my 19 KX450 stolen last year in the High Des. I had $12K+ into the bike. In what ended up being a pretty crazy story, and social media blitz, we recovered the...
