Something happened tonight. It wasn't a gradual fade. He quickly went from fighting for second to looking like bike would barely go around corners. Arm pump, flat tire, shock gave up..... something changed late in the race tonight.

I'd wager that Sexton in that pic above is 100% aware of exactly where his boot is and has complete control over whether or not he's going to hit the shifter. The same with any other pros.

401, donny shmidt passed away and randy moody ran the number after, then my dad would ride randys practice bikes and help out a little with bike work and eventually started running the 401 after randy moved on to car racing, then i was born and inherited the number from my dad

Had some goon 3 digit #”s when I first started racing, you know, whatever they gave you at signup…I always liked the #7, so I tried to work that in my # ….setteled on #47 for a long time, but when I joined NESC back in the mid 90”s, someohad that #, so I had to choose a 3 digit …. Went with #768, figured nobody would ever have this # so I wouldn’t have to ever change it, still running it …funny when I qualified for LLynn”s few years back they gave me my old Amateur # 47…..

Last week was a breath of fresh air with Will gone. It was even more apparent with her back this week.

4 strokes are much cheaper IMO as far as routine maintenance goes because they go longer on pistons and cranks, but do have the greater risk of something catastrophic happening of course. I have owned both types for many years and honestly not sure 2 strokes are really any cheaper to operate on a per hour basis compared to a 4 stroke (assuming both are well maintained). I think the idea of 2 strokes being a lot cheaper to own was more true 10+ years ago when the 4 strokes were less reliable.
