Just read Sexton was fined for not giving a interview in Tampa.
Refusing Broadcaster Interview and also a Code of Conduct Violation.
https://americanmotorcyclist.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Penalty-Rep…
The guy is well known for interviews and fan interaction
chase need to hit the marshawn lynch line on them
What was the code of conduct fine for? Something else or did they ding him with two fines for not doing the interview?
Probably dodging Cooksey 🤣

Couldn’t hear anything. His ears were plugged up from the sonic boom Malcolm made going through the whoops
So the broadcast can demand interview from anyone? Doesn't matter if they're off the podium? Crashed?
I don't buy it.... JT has talked many times about asking guys if they want to do an interview and the implication has always been that if the answer is no then they respect that and move on.
If I recall, the top 5 are supposed to do an interview if asked.
$1000 fine for a first offense.
Too bad…. But rules are rules I suppose. I feel like Chase is always doing interviews and is the most transparent rider on the track today.
Does this mean someone had to have ratted him out to Feld/AMA for not doing an interview?
Lame
Lame lol.... why wouldn't they ask every top guy every race to stick around for comment? Would love to hear Kenny's immediate reaction to his situation. Why not make eli answer questions about his leg?
I'm guessing guys say no all the time but chase said it more emphatically and got his hand slapped.
Gotta run a "No Comment" butt patch this weekend
Most professional sports have these rules in place. Some of the best post game interviews were with Bill Bellichek. He knew how to liven up a room with his two word responses to most any question.
I don’t think Chase gives a shit about a fine. If you ask me it would be well worth the money to not have to answer the same stupid questions over and over
Fining a guy like Chase who is always 99.99% all in with media responsibilities & his time sure seems like a petty thing to do.
Read the F'n room AMA.
Chase probably just found out from reading this thread.
Right. "What happened out there Chase?" I ate shit big time and blew the race. Naw, he's your $1K. Suck it
Pit Row
I kno I would ! like honestly this shit prolly irks my nerves more than anything cause its so petty 😂 I hate it when the NFL be finning these players for wearing different color & brand cleats & accessories , hate it when the NBA be finning their players when they tell it how it is bout these sucka ass refs taking over the game with these unnecessary tech foul calling & now u got chase who majority of the time is the MOST ACCESSIBLE athlete u got racing under ur organization who just this 1 time don’t wana talk & u wana fine him 🤔 dawgggg 🤦🏾♂️ some of these ppl I debate sports with wonder why im always for the players over the organization cause of shit like this , shiddd if I had the money I would pay chase’s fine my damn self 😂😂
The No Fun League. And now the NBA gives them tech's for excessive celebrations. If you dunk in some dudes face, you're not supposed to talk shit? Cmon
I understand trying to follow the rule book but the AMA doesn’t have a good track record of doing that with many other aspects of the operation. I think they could have cut Chase some slack on this one given his accessibility all the rest of the time.
AMA proving yet again how out of touch and clueless they are. Probably faxed the fine notice to him too.
If they are going to enforce that rule and fine sexton, they should also enforce the other rule below that “failure to comply with race official” during blue flag situations. There should be a list of fines after every race for blue flag offenders. They should use that money to get better flaggers.
Gotta say, I was very surprised to not hear the usual Lewis Phillips interview with Chase after the race. I assumed Sexton literally said “fuck it” and threw his atm card at the refs.
I don’t have a problem with the AMA rules, but I think the fine should be steeper, or at least variable based on a rider’s earning power. If it don’t hurt, is it really a fine?
I would gladly pay the fine not to be interviewed by will Christian. 😂
asterisk alpinestars mobile medical unit p/b doc bodnar also fined for failure to properly operate an X-Ray machine
dig dug corps fined for failure to properly secure a track safety marker implement, thereby impeding racers and posing substantial risk of great harm unforeseeable by athlete(s).
He need to give them the Verstappen treatment.
This industry and governing body are so Mickey Mouse sometimes.
Rules are rules crybaby's. Sexton is great with the media when he wins, but he admittedly has said he doesn't handle losing well.
Fining Chase for this bullshit when Friese gets away with most of his shit with barely a slap on the wrist with a wet lettuce leaf.
