I’d say if you wear compression shorts / tight boxers daily, you’d probably be good after a few weeks. I didn’t have tight boxers and my biggest issue that lasted a while was my nuts would start getting sore/painful after standing for a while. I don’t think you’d have any major issues if you rode after 2-3 weeks I will say, for anyone considering a snip. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows. I’ve had some pretty consistent discomfort/pain in my nuts since I did the procedure 5 years ago, which apparently isn’t too uncommon

Not the recovery per se…but on mine, the Doc wasn’t exactly gentle. No pain but a ton of tugging on plumbing…He’s down there doing his thing for what seems like an eternity. I figured I’m almost done when he looks up and says “alright, that’s one, just one to go.” I was thinking “someone get me out of here”…😂

I rode a 4 wheeler checking out hunting property 5 days post surgery. Not a good idea. I ended up with a hydrostatic. Basically fluid build up in your ball sack squeezing your ball. It felt like I was kicked in the nuts and it never went away. Dr. stuck a needle in there and drained out 73ml of fluid. Felt great, but it came back 2 days later on the weekend. I didn't want to pay for an ER visit and I'm a Paramedic (basically a Doctor not), so I just get the same thing the Dr did and...

The nurse cleaning the area was quite the experience. She was super nice, but damn that was weird having her move everything all around. Doc was cool though! He asked if music was ok to play and turned on Kenny Rogers. We were both singing along while I scrolled Vital and texted the wife. He looked up and asked if I was texting, said sure am and reading through an MX forum. He laughed and said he’d never seen anyone to that before. All was good until he made the second incision and I wasn’t numb….. That was hell!

The reversal was 10x worse. Rode her same day of both surgerys lol Waited 8 weeks to ride dirtbike haha.

I drove 90 miles the next day for a slot car race…. Then rode single track about a week after. No issues, but I took it easy, more of a cruise. At 2 weeks I was 100%. This was about 25 years ago….

I had the procedure on a Thursday afternoon. Had a softball tournament that started a little after noon on that Friday. The pain pills worked remarkably well, so I played the whole weekend. I’m sure that the mixture of beer and painkillers is why I kept thinking it was a good idea. Woke up Monday and was more swollen than I could have imagined. Went to the ER, they iced me up and gave me some anti inflammatories, and told me to rest for 3 days. Lesson learned.

make sure you get the non reversible kind where they c auterize both ends of the Vas or they can grow back together! i had mine done at Nellis AFB and it’s a teaching hospital so i had a gallery situation with three docs and about 10 others observing… wasn’t the coolest situation but i was on valium and really didn’t care… i was good to go in about 2 weeks!
