6/29/2026 12:46pm If your looking for rims look up Rimsplus. I got Excel Takasago in blue and kinda burnt bronze hubs for a price that nobody else could even get close to.

6/29/2026 12:40pm I used the standard 5 speed. I'm guessing the Lectron may be a couple weeks but its ready to go other than that.

6/29/2026 12:37pm I went about a month ago. It was fairly watered. Nice guy. My only concern was there are alot of fairly large rocks everywhere like baseballs but if your looking for somewhere to ride and few options it will work.
scootscheerer Started a new thread 1988 CR500 full resto
6/29/2026 12:05pm I decided to sell my 88 CR500 full resto with only one heat cycle. Nothing wasn't touched on the resto. I got too many bikes and I just couldn't get myself to ride it. OEM was used on pretty much everything that's possible except the exhaust. Original rims. Petcock is leaking but I got a new gasket in yesterday for...

6/29/2026 11:21am I'm going to redo the tank graphics. I realized the other day that they didnt stick that great likely from years of gas spillage. Ill have them run the blue up higher on the tank and that will solve that problem. I'll try and degrease the tank one more time. I decided last minute to go with the Electron Pro...
scootscheerer Added a reply to KX500AF feedback (2019-2023 KX450 conversion)
6/27/2026 7:28am KX500 parts are much harder to find and more expensive so that pushed me away from the 500/450 conversion. I found the BRC YZM500 swap and went that route. Still spent a ton for a complete do over but its gonna be a badass bike. Just waiting on the Lectron Pro 40mm to come in and button it up. Should...

Dude Abides Liked a reply to forum topic YZ blue getting brighter
6/24/2026 4:47pm Just an idea - but on ThumperTalk.com a couple guys dyed their Blue YZ tanks Black and they look great - they dyed them 3-years ago and they look brand new. Doesn't necessary fade - doesn't effect performance either. Check it out. All you need is a sealed garbage tank full of HOT water - Rite Dye (Walmart) and it takes 24-hours cure time. Hot water is the key. Good luck. BTW - I like they way your bike looks now......

6/24/2026 3:08pm LOL. It's not attached with bolts just one spring on the exhaust. It needs to move another inch or two but it doesn't hit. That motor in that frame once you get everything mounted leaves zero space.

6/24/2026 11:38am Not terrible. Looks worse in person to me. I put alot of money in the bike so a better color match would be ideal.

6/24/2026 11:25am I just did an 05 rebuild. All new plastic original tank. The tank looks dark compared to the new plastic. I know sun fade could change it but I dont think that's it. Did the blue change with any of the restyles?

6/11/2026 1:00pm My 2005 YZ250 I put a BRC 500 motor in it. It using the existing electrical system. Im getting poor spark and I've found my stator source 2 coul to be bad. That stator isn't available. 2006 and up there was a change. New wiring harness with a shorter stator wire possibly so it won't reach the connection on my...
