10/22/2024 6:57am I hear what your saying and I agree I would probably get the best run time with those settings. With my weight and the track surface, even at 52hp I'm riding it wide open alot of the time and only just making a few of my jumps. I will give those settings a try but it is still very disappointing...

10/22/2024 6:15am So tried 13 tooth front sprocket today. Sadly no real noticeable difference either way. Ran 52hp and 40% regen like i have been last few rides. Run time was very similar and battery light still came on with about 30% battery left. Maybe the only 2 small differences I noticed was it used a tiny bit more battery riding too...

10/21/2024 10:24pm I would definitely give the 13T front sprocket a try, I just rode mine with a 14T for the first time on a track with some fluffy sand corners similar to what you're riding on and I couldn't believe how much worse the bike bogged down than it used to with the 13T. I'm swapping back to my 13T, and I have a feeling it will probably make a pretty significant difference for the conditions you're riding in.

10/21/2024 3:59pm Yeah I have read up on this. The cooling system only cools the powertrain not the battery and I am only getting overheating of my battery. Form what I can gather if the cooling system is not bleed properly I will be getting fan issue alarms. Your first question about more hp in the sand kinda can do both. I...

10/21/2024 4:47pm I agree that it sounds like something is wrong but stark have logged into my bike and are telling me there is nothing wrong. I'm not sure if i believe them but I'm also not sure what else to do. I've been doing alot of research online and have now found several scenarios of people having the very same issues...

10/20/2024 10:43pm Riding on hard pack will decrease load! You're living the dream, with you're own private track, I'm sure I'm not the only person who is jealous.

10/20/2024 10:05pm I am very lucky to have what I have and I definitely don't take it for granted. Might have to build myself a hardpack track ha ha.

10/20/2024 10:03pm Thanks for sharing, I think the more people that share there real world experience the better we all wil be. I would actually be happy with 30 mins of proper ride time. I think the type of sand makes a massive difference, if I run mine at 40hp it doesn't have enough power to pull me through the sand. Me...

10/20/2024 9:58pm Rode mine today at a local sand desert track. I'm no expert, maybe slower b class on a good day. Started the day at 100% and finished with 7% Got about 1hr 40mins of ride time before needing a charge. I can see an A class rider especially on sand go through battery pretty quick but I'd still think it would last atleast 30 mins. For a fast A class or pro rider this is not the bike unless you want to be charging all the time. And this was all in 42hp with 25% regen.

10/20/2024 6:40pm Yeah we still have a lot to learn about electric. My thoughts are that load is what kills battery's and electric equipment. So by gearing it down yes the motor will have to spin faster but maybe with less load. But I'm also no electric wizard so I could be completely wrong 🤣

10/20/2024 4:21pm At the highest charge rate i was getting around 22% recharge every 30 minutes. So will take a little over 2 hrs for a full recharge.

10/19/2024 4:48pm It could definitely go either way or make no difference at all ha ha, but definitely worth a try. I have a new mx14 in my shed and I'll need to swap out the crappy stock tubes soon so may aswell give it a try. I think I'll try a 13 tooth front sprocket first, apparently they are the same...

10/19/2024 4:42pm I contacted stark straight away and they were actually pretty quick to get back to me, i posted there reply earlier on in this thread. But yes they can remotely check the bike and they told me there was no issues with the bike and it is just the limitations of the bike in my conditions.

10/19/2024 4:19pm Sorry for confusion, I meant I’ve never had the issue you described with the light even when I’m riding sand moto. I completely agree with you, I truly don’t understand why everyone has such different experiences. I weigh 155lbs.

10/19/2024 3:00pm I would try a scoop tire if you haven’t it may help some. If you get better traction you may reduce the speed at which the motor is turning by a measureable factor. Less motor speed /more drive = less heat.

10/19/2024 3:29am Yeah sort of, 52hp and 20% regen got me about 18-20 minutes of proper ride time. Then it was at 20% and the light came on, basically once it's at 20% it's time to go home the battery just disappears and power drops dramatically. This is how it reacts on sand, not sure if it would do the same on...

10/19/2024 1:30am Yeah sorry should have mentioned that. Although I actually think the lower hp has more of an effect then the lower regen.

10/18/2024 8:58pm And I don't think you ever will have any issues with the riding you describe. I'm still shocked with you saying you got 45 minutes ride time and only used 19% battery. I used 10% battery in 10 mins just play riding around my sheds and thats on hard gravel dirt. I believe you it's just shocking the drastic differences...

10/18/2024 8:12pm There is no specific battery percentage that the light comes on at and it de-rates, it is all dependent on the battery temperature. At 60hp I can get it to come on with still 60% battery left, at 56hp I got it down to around 35% left. Yesterday at 52hp I got it down to 20% before it came on...

10/18/2024 8:04pm From what I can see it's not the chain guide that is the problem its when a larger sprocket is fitted the wheel comes too far forward and some tyres can rub on the swingarm. The problem is the stark doesn't have a very large axle adjustment range so finding a gear ratio and chain length that will work might...
