2/20/2024 8:42pm I think too many people are stressing about things that do not even need to be stressed about. There are no sealing issues at all with this bike. Unless, you don’t put the filter in the cage correctly and most aftermarket filters assist any kind of issue. Take out the grommet, remove the baffles in the stock silencer, or get an aftermarket silencer and it’ll be more than we all need, again. This bike is literally amazing, and will treat anyone well.

2/20/2024 3:24pm Seems like the power flow system is a waste of time and money. A simple new cage and twin air filter do pretty much the same thing. Groves for the filter don't bother me and they function fine.

2/14/2024 6:50pm A better question might be why did they decide to put the bike into production with an obviously poorly designed air intake system, when the factory teams on both sides of the Atlantic use something different? They have been testing this bike for over a year. IMHO First year bikes are always weird no matter the brand...

2/14/2024 6:50pm FYI air filter situation for this bike just got a lot better. New testing on the dyno is showing a significant improvement. You 2024 KX 450 guys will be very happy in a few months with a new after market airbox and filter configuration coming out.

2/12/2024 4:34pm Just removed the end cap. The first screen is close enough to remove with long pliers. Second one is further down but I got that with a long screw driver and knocked it out. The metal baffle is in the end cap. Some just press the flanges out but I removed it completely by cutting and die grinding it out.

2/12/2024 1:02am 24 kx450, has the smooth poweband of a 350 with torque of a 450 👌 Have both 23 350sxf and 24 kx450, can't decide which i prefer.

2/11/2024 9:44pm I agree. Mine feels similar to my 22 with the ECU and pipe. I thought I was going to go to a 51 sprocket, after riding a faster track I think I'll leave it. With the baffles you had to use 2nd gear, but now I can run 3rd just like my 22 with a 51 sprocket.

2/9/2024 9:35am Calm down, this is a discussion not an argument. You said the added oil will go to the inner chamber. It will not go to the sealed inner chamber, it will go to the top of the free piston which is actually the outer chamber. Anyway i think most can agree this fork needs more outer chamber oil.

2/9/2024 9:07am I guess it is but the bleed hole goes to the top side of the free piston not the sealed side of the inner cartridge. So adding oil through the bleed hole does not add oil to the inner cartridge. So does it add oil volume to the outer cartridge straight away, my guess would be yes but I'm no...

2/9/2024 7:57am Bleed screw 100% does NOT go into the inner chamber. It will possibly sit on top of the free piston and then make its way into outer chamber. Whether it has an effect on outer chamber volume straight away is something I would like to know from someone who knows more than me?

1/28/2024 11:34pm Had 30hrs on my 23 yz450f, now have 7hrs on my 24 kx450 and I am already more comfortable on it. Yz was a great bike with an amazing motor, I could just never get completely happy with the handling. One day I would love it the next day it just wasn't right. I think for faster or pro guys...

1/28/2024 9:42pm Yeah I really think these new adjustable ecu's can give most of us all we need. I was able to get what I wanted from my yz with a bit of tinkering and hopefully be the same with this kx.

1/28/2024 2:03pm The yz was a great bike but I sold it cos after 30hrs I was still playing with settings and not completely comfortable with it. It was very hit and miss, some days it was awesome others not so. The motor was the best part about the bike and probably what I miss the most. The kx is almost completely...

1/28/2024 6:03am Yeah think I might need to try some better fuel, it's just hard cos I live in Oz and kinda in the middle of nowhere so finding supply is the issue. Just strange that in the 20 or so bikes I've ever owned I've never had one detonate. Was thinking of trying a cooler spark plug but not sure if...

1/27/2024 10:00pm Are you just running stock mapping with PC pipe? This bike feels like it wants more fuel, especially once air box is opened up. I'm getting detonation whenever temps over 30°c and that's with a map with more fuel. Can get it to stop by removing timing but then bike is slower than my 350.

1/27/2024 2:59pm 🤣 If only I could go faster. Yeah I've got a 51 tooth on the rear, contemplating going to a 52 but I've got a PC pipe coming so I'll see how that goes first. It's not like it's that bad I'm just used to not touching the clutch at all.

1/26/2024 9:31pm Being a first time kx owner just wondering how good the stock clutch is on these things? Coming from a 23 yz450f I'm finding myself having to use the clutch a fair bit to carry 3rd gear through corners.

1/26/2024 4:23pm Yeah coming from a yamaha this app is definitely not as good. At the bottom of the app if you click on options, then help, then tutorial it does give you a bit of explanation how to use it but it's definitely not great.

1/21/2024 4:53pm Long time reader first time poster. Just ticked over 5hrs on mine and experienced pretty bad detonation last ride. Temp was about 30°C so not extremely hot and riding deep sand. I run 98 Octane fuel and bike is stock except opened up airbox. Other than that bike is awesome. Also have a 23 350sxf and can't decide which one...
