peltier626 Liked a reply to forum topic Almost as Good as I Thought
7/19/2019 7:30am There is no other feeling like it that i have yet to emulate. Moto is almost euphoric for me at times. I swear the best time on a bike for me is when i go completely into automatic mode, mindset. I almost go into some sort of moto trance while on the track. It's an addictive feeling. Rock on.

KennyT Liked a reply to forum topic First issue of Motocross Action. Have you read it?
7/18/2019 7:51am Really don’t worry about sending it back to me. If you send it to the next person n line, if there is someone, and it disappears I promise you won’t be held responsible. It would save me postage if multiple readers. This way it’s just once for me👍 Anyway It’s not the end of the world if it gets lost in circulation, it’s not pristine that’s for sure. Send me your info and I’ll get it out this afternoon. I think you’ll really enjoy it.

7/18/2019 7:50am July 1973, the very first issue of MXA and nothing like the ones you read today, or even the issues after the late 70’s. Very entertaining and educational. If anyone had never seen it and would like to read it, I have a pretty worn out issue that’s been read about 5,983 times over the years. I will send it to whoever wants to check it out, with the promise you will either send it back to me or forward it on to someone else in the forum who wants to read it. My goal would be to eventually get...

7/18/2019 7:11am Lots of people say Eli is hard to figure out. Weege just wrote a whole article about if he is 'great' or not. After some thought and watching him this year, I think he is pretty easy to figure out these days. 1) Clearly, the back injury last December got in his head as well it should. He even mentioned it saying it did. 2) Not being comfortable on the new bike. 3) Getting older, steady girlfriend, his own house with dogs, "Loves flying", etc. 4) Letting MM25 by at the finish line jump one race in SX, getting tight...

7/15/2019 1:11pm Hard Pack tracks do exist. Not everything is, nor should be, chocolate cake mix. The ability to ride on varied surfaces, and conditions, is what our sport (should be) all about. Semarang is a very good track. Plenty up up and down, varied corners, varied jumps. Quite demanding. Jemcee - you've not seen that before? You're listed as an Aussie - surely you've ridden (and crashed - I have!) on slick, hard pack tracks, dry as a bone, or, with a bit of water just put down, or, not quite dried yet = Ice, Ice Baby! Hard Pack and Sand...

7/15/2019 1:06pm I can tell you why. It’s ingrained in American culture that if you aren’t working hard, suffering, sacrificing, you won’t amount to anything. His IMAGE is that he is escaping that “work”, so he’s not deserving of his success. That brings the haters. These are the same people that bust their ass in the gym and on the bike, but are lacking in talent. They HATE those that appear to do much less but continue to hand them their ass. Clearly JA21 is putting in the work. Oh, but dear lord he has fun! And oh my gosh, hits the...

7/14/2019 9:50am I cringe when I watch a video of them. I can’t stand the quiet. Just imagine being in a stadium watching a SX race and all you here is faint whining from 20 bikes. I love the roar of the bikes. It’s part of what gets you amp’d up At a race. Take that away and soon the sport will fade. Just my 2 cents.

DC Liked a reply to forum topic What do you think AC92 docked 2 spots for 1st moto?
7/12/2019 2:35pm Ever watch a football game and see a call the referee missed? They don't go back the next day and change the score because someone had a better angle of the incident. We reserve the right to penalize a blatant incident but we aren't going to reconfigure the results after we see all of the footage, because then we're dealing with 80 GoPro cams, every team's internal video, every shot from the TV truck, fan-sourced video... That's a slippery slope that doesn't loan itself well to such a big playing field, with a mile on either side to miss a...

7/12/2019 2:14pm Maybe AC needs to keep it on the track and this won’t be a problem down the road. It’s funny to see someone talk about Crown riding over his head while defending a guy that just lost a SX title from crashing out and has been off the track in several outdoor events, sometimes more than once a moto. See a pattern here. Could be why he got the penalty and others (like Nichols) didn’t when they were obviously accelerating outside the track.

7/12/2019 2:08pm I didn't read through all 6 pages, but why not make it where the rider has to enter the track at or very close to where they left it. Leaving the track should make a rider lose significant time. If AC would have had to stop and turn around on both occasions it would made a major impact in positions, as it should since he lost control both times. It is not about AC, I like him a lot, rather leaving the race course should cause a major loss of time.

7/9/2019 8:34am Yes, what you said. Some of the stuff Webb does is stupid. If someone is clearly faster than you (and in better shape) then yes, let them go by and latch on to them. Follow their lines and try to match their speed. Learn something. Don't just try to block them. It is easier to follow someone anyway. Hindering a rider who is going faster than you just wears you out quicker and serves no purpose unless your hope is to make the person behind you crash or something. Do you really think Webb thought he would hold off Tomac...

tcallahan707 Liked a reply to forum topic Correct Foot position on pegs while riding
7/9/2019 8:24am One major benefit to hours and hours on a road bike (and all the other training) is the leg and core strength to ride the bike properly. Weighting your pegs, steering with your ankles, riding on the balls of your feet, squeezing with your knees, and opening up the hips require a certain level of body function that most weekend warriors simply don't have. AJ is right. It's lazy riding. It's a lot of focused work to be able to control the machine in the most efficient way possible.
